The Leather Exchange is a cool little shop. It’s on Exchange St.(obviously) so they don’t have a lot of space but they have a lot of interesting items and seem to be of really good quality. If you’ve ever shopped at Wilson’s Leather I would say they are a step up in quality but less quantity. I bought a really nice computer/messenger bag(not a man purse!). I just realized that my wallet is getting kinda old so I will likely go back there to get a new one soon.

Leather goods and goods made with leather, all beautifully and densely arranged in an atmosphere designed for browsing. The Leather Exchange is fun to peruse, but you may just end up falling in love with a future-heirloom while you’re in there. The people who work there are quite friendly, if all a bit shy for some reason, but they know their inventory well and are happy to help you shop. This store is worth a visit to browse if you’re near Exchange street, but it’s a must-check-out if you’re in the market for anything remotely leathery.

True to its name, the Leather Exchange boasts all the leather goods one could possibly need: purses, computer bags, wallets, gloves, and so on. While my sister marveled over the linings of various mittens, I had my eye on the wallets. The lady working there could not possibly have been more patient with us. I had her pull about 15 wallets out from the display case and meticulously went through each one to determine if all my cards and other wallet paraphernalia would fit. Meanwhile, my sister is all about the store modeling purses and debating how various leather gloves would stand up to a Minnesota winter. The lady behind the counter was sweet and helpful the entire time. As an unexpected bonus, the store also sells jewelry. My mom found a cute pair of earrings and tried on many necklaces while she waited for me to finish my wallet analysis. The store is new, and while they don’t yet have their own credit card system set up, you can still charge your purchases(they are run through the card machine at a nearby store so the amount shows up on your statement as «Haberdashery Hill»).
