The Falafel Guy

I’ll be brief: though a falafel cart is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood (even at the cost of displacing the Mexican cart previously occupying this spot), and the Falafel Guy seems nice (you may have to look around for him in the neighborhood of the cart), this ain’t that good a falafel. It’s not just below the standards of the really good falafel carts in this town, eg Fat Kitty or Wolf & Bear, but somewhere between the standards of «meh» and «actually, let’s just find something else to eat instead.»
The falafel balls themselves are fine, though not special (apparently from a mix, and not freshly fried to order). The vegetables are fine, though not special or flavorful (salad mix, mild pickles, tomatoes). The sauce is fine but flavorless. But the whole thing is served, quite unappetizingly, in a flour tortilla — no lavash or pita in sight. Sheesh.
