I love the biscuits, whether they be covered in the tasty gravy or their homemade jams. I am hooked to this awesome food cart. ½ order Benedict with a perfectly cooked egg and one biscuit and gravy is my go to order! My boyfriend has tried something different every time and has enjoyed it all. The people have always been professional and pleasant. I am so happy to have found this joint.

Great breakfast spot in SE Portland. The owners are very friendly and provide awesome service. We always get the karver egg sandwich which can sub avocado and tomato for meat. The eggs Benedict has a nice hollandaise. The rosemary sweet potatoes are delicious. They offer a Chinook Book coupon, and the prices are reasonable. Overall, our favorite neighborhood breakfast location!

The eggs Benedict were a good, standard dish. No complains. I’d go back if I were in the area.

We’ve been to the Egg Carton a couple of times and I took my mother who is from out of town before our road trip to Reno/Tahoe… Ohhh the benedict. Ohh the benedict. If you’re a bene lover, then the sauce is perfection! I just can’t say enough! Mom and husband loved their breakfasts also… Keep doing what you’re doing!

A 2.5 rating is what i’d like to give this place. My young daughter and I went over the weekend early in the AM for breakfast. First off, i noticed the unfriendliness, they weren’t rude but no one made an attempt to even say hello or thank you. We’ll start with my order which were the eggs benedict. This was the main reason i decided to try this place out. I read many many reviews raving their eggs benedict and i remember reading someone mention that they’re sauce had hints of lemon. NO, it was overpowered by the taste of lemon. This ruined it for me, because the rest of it was great. The egg was cooked perfectly but the sauce i could not get over. I ordered the french toast for my 6 yr old and she scarfed it all down, i got a bite and i must say it was very good. I also ordered their raspberry lemonade. It tasted a day or two old. Probably won’t go out of my way to try anything thing else from the place, it left a sour taste in my mouth, LITERALLY! :)

I come here often and order the same thing every time because I’m afraid of change. Vegetarian benedict with avocado over homefries. I really need to check out more of their other options, but I absolutely love my regular order as it is. Fast friendly service, perfect food, great prices. It’s my favorite of the Carts on Foster.

I got the eggs benedict and the biscuits. I loved both things, and the service was great. This food cart pod looks decent and I might go back. The porta potty was gnarly though, so I would recommend not using it.

I had the capressegg sandwich and the hot mama. So good. I am waiting for this place to become a restaurant. They were so nice to bring our food out on beautiful white plates. Great presentation and taste combinations. So. Good.

The karver special is by far one of my favorite egg sandwiches to date. It’s the perfect blend of spicy and savory with a hint of maple syrup to sweeten it up. I highly recommend spending a Saturday morning here!

Been waiting to try this cart for awhile now and finally made it down there today. I ordered the Basic thinking, ok you really cannot mess up eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Boy, was I wrong. The only good thing on my plate was the field roast veggie sausage and that wasn’t even prepared other than heated up. The eggs were hard around the outside of the egg white and the rosemary sweet potatoes weren’t cooked enough. I didn’t come close to finishing my breakfast and have not felt great the rest of the day. My boyfriend got a breakfast sandwich that was oddly small for the price and looked like something we make at home on the weekends. Sorry Egg Carton, wanted to love you but didn’t and won’t be back.

The food is okay, but they close because of the heat which is pretty annoying. All the other carts are open.

HOLYCRAP! Deliciously mind blowing!!! I came here 2 mornings in a row during my 3 day stay in Portland and I couldn’t ask for an even perfect breakfast! The Fopo and Frenchie is what I had. Two AMAZING breakfast sandwiches that I haven’t found before and can not wait to come back to Portland and try again! The women and man working at the cart were so kind and brought our food to our table. Service that I don’t normally get from a food truck lot. THANKYOUBOTH! :)

I’ve tried to visit this cart a few times but before today it’s always been closed. I finally lucked out! I got the«Hot Mama» Grilled onions, a fried egg, smoked Gouda cheese, roasted red pepper sauce and a house-made sausage patty on an English muffin.(Typically it comes with pepper jack and jalapeños, but they let me sub the cheese, huzzah!) It was messy, but pretty freaking delicious.

I was craving French Toast and this was closest. It was really good and hit the spot. Their bacon was also excellent. I thought portions was a bit twee for the price. And it didn’t blow me away overall. Very solid. i’d give it a 3 ½ if I could. Might get better when I try it again.

Based on my first visit, I would say this place is definitely a safe option. It didn’t wow me, particularly because they’re pretty sauce, condiments, and meat happy. And to be honest, I don’t really care for that. So basically I’m admitting to enjoying boring and bland food. I had a custom, simple, egg and cheese sandwich with avocado. It was good, but again it didn’t exactly wow me. As a cart that seems to have reliable hours and a full breakfast/brunch menu, I can appreciate this. The french toast in particular sounded really good based on their description, and from viewing other photos, it looks the best!

Visited with family and wanted breakfast, so I googled spots for my favorite breakfast eggs benedict. Seen all the reviews for this food cart and wanted to see if the hype was right. Gladly i would have to agree that their eggs benedict is one of the best here in Portland. We also ordered the biscuits and gravy which were by far the best I have had here in Portland. Very happy with this food cart. Only thing is its best you call in the order if your not a patient. Great find.

Get the biscuits and jam here. They’re amazing! Flaky, buttery; and light for the biscuits and the jam is homemade by the owners. My go-to breakfast spot. I always get the biscuits and Jam with a side of bacon and coffee. The only downside is they’re not open Tuesday and Wednesday.

These peeps are sweet. There isn’t a bad thing on the menu, and everything sounds good at all times. Why? Because it is. One of the greatest food items ever made was the breakfast sandwich, which is limitless in its offerings. Skip McDonalds or wherever you were going for a «breakfast sandwich» and eat what real men(like me) eat: Egg Carton goodies.
