The Alchemist Chair

Went to Michelle on a friend’s recommendation. trying a new stylist is always a little nerve wracking, but i have to say i am so please i tried her! I have naturally curly hair i’ve been dying red for years. I was feeling super bored of my hair — she gave me a great cut and also spiced up my color. I came in with a few barely formed ideas of wanting to change things up — she listened and came up with an awesome solution. I love my hair and am definitely going back!

Ain’t nobody else like her! She’s been doing my hair for about 5 years, and I have very curly hair. She has a gift with curly hair, and it shows! She’s also amazing with color!

I have been seeing Michelle for just over a year now (and my mom has been seeing her for about 3 years or so). I am so happy that I found her when I moved to Portland. She is absolutely wonderful, and always seems to understand exactly what I want for my hair, even though I’m totally challenged at describing it! She has drastically cut and dyed my hair and it has always turned out amazing! Not only is she super convenient for me (I live only a few blocks away), but she is also very prompt and professional about getting back to me about appointments (whether by text, email or phone). Michelle is a total sweetheart and incredibly professional, I plan on continuing to see her for as long as I live in Portland!

I’ve been Michelle’s client for about 6 months. I was looking for somebody who really know how to manage my curly hair. From the first time I went to her salon I knew she was the person I was looking for as she listened to me and the way I wanted my hair styled. She is very meticulous and careful. She accepts suggestions and wants her clients to be happy and satisfied with her work. I highly recomend her.

Michelle is a talented hair stylist. My hair goes every which way, is wavey and in general misbehaving. With Michelle skills applied to my head folks give me complements all the time she creates a wash and wear cut that nobody else has ever achieved. Plus she is smart, funny and responsive. Having her very own space is great. Try her you will not be disappointed.
