Subway

This Subway restaurant is located inside the Wal-​Mart. I ended up out and about on Saturday morning shopping without anything in my tummy. I knew I had a few hours before I got home so thought I would try one of the breakfast sandwiches offered.
I decided on the double bacon omelette on flatbread. I gave my order to the girl behind the counter and was told, «sorry you have to go to the other end to place your order.» We BOTH walked to the other end of the counter so I could repeat my order. I was then asked what kind of cheese, what kind of veggies and what kind of sauce I wanted.
Apparently this was my first time to a Subway (I know, I have been living under a rock) because I was a little thrown off by choices. I figured they would just throw the stuff on the flatbread, heat it up and that was that. It was actually nice to be able to add some peppers and a spicy sauce.
Now for the not so nice part of my visit. I ordered coffee with my sandwich and first noticed that there was NO sugar in the condiment area. Sure there was non-​dairy creamer and that fake sugar in the pink packets, but none of the real stuff. The girl was busy behind the counter so I just went with the pink packet. Then I started pumping the coffee into my cup and after one pump the carafe ran out. Ugh! So now I did have to bother the girl to have her refill the carafe.
Refill? No. She had to come around to where the coffee and tea are and remove the two iced tea containers, then set up the filter, coffee, etc. It was probably 15 minutes before the carafe was filled and by then I was way beyond finished with my sandwich. It seems like this is a pretty silly way to handle the coffee situation. I pointed out that there was no sugar but she still didn’t fill it.
Come here for a sandwich and fountain soda, but don’t bother with coffee or tea.
