The food here is amazing, the flavors are just incredible. There are many decent places to eat in town but Straits is hands down my new favorite. I went there the first time earlier in the week but had to go back a few days later to try the Brussels sprouts (which were amazing) and I immediately went on facebook to give a huge shout out to these ladies and their cart. As others have mentioned, GO, you won’t be disappointed!

Delicious flavors and great service. The laksa is very shrimpy, which i didnt care for but my compatriots enjoyed thoroughly. The pickle salad is mixed with fresh veg too so its crunchy and tangy and I am going to crave this often. The brussel sprouts were tasty, but nothing special. The chicken bites were BEST. Not crispy, but their lime soy sauce is absolutely amazing and the dark meat chicken has its own great flavor. Solid truck! Will come back!

Not only is the food great, but excellent customer service. I was waiting for my order (not long only 5 minutes) and the cook came out and approached me. She apologized that the chicken would take a little longer than expected and handed me a complementary Acar Salad (absolutely delicious). I will definitely come back again.

Everything I have tried is amazing, but the soups are especially not-​to-​be-​missed. The Laksa (turmeric based rice noodle soup) is exceptional. Very warming and rich if you like potent soup. Kiam Chye Soup (on special) is also excellent. Big brothy flavor with a hint of vinegar sourness. Packed with veggies, meat, and noodles. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. The owners are very friendly and it’s obvious that they pour a lot of love into the food.

I’ve tried just about everything on their menu and can safely say this is my favorite PDX place to eat. Brussels Sprouts just made their menu and are a must order. Chicken pieces Rice bowl is great too!
You won’t be disappointed. This place is the new Pok Pok.
Jessica and Angie are always there to greet you with s smile too!

This truck is well worth a pilgrimage to Sellwood. The inche kabin rice bowl just about blew my mind. The chicken was so perfectly seasoned. The grilled chicken rice bowl is another winner, as are the pork egg rolls.

Stopped by last night and picked up dinner for two. We’ve found a new gem in Portland: very fresh ingredients in very authentically-​prepared dishes. Fantastic owner as well-​looking forward to eating there again soon.

Authentic Malaysian here in Portland! The pork roll appetizer came out hot and crispy and the pork sandwich oh my so delicious! They serve it with a red sauce that is equally as tasty. Friendly service in a great pod!

You must try the Laksa noodles: using the tiniest rice noodles was brilliant as it helped to soak up the delicious curry sauce, which had the perfect balance of spices and curry. I could have had a 2nd bowl! The chicken appetizer with key lime and other spices was also delicious. I will be back soon!

Amazing food! All of the appetizers should be ordered and adored! You know how thai is 100 times better than Chinese food.. Well this is 100 times better than thai! The flavors are fresh and complicated. The acar salad is the best thing I’ve had this year. Eat there now before the lines form.

Super nice people! Jessica is so kind and she can tell you a lot about Malaysian food. Everything is clearly marked if it has allergens, such as shellfish. There is one veg option. Hopefully more to come!
