Mr. Smith advertises his practice as «Peace Making». That was, unfortunately, not my experience with him. He costs in excess of $ 300 an hour. He was doing mediation between my wife and myself. Attempting to arrive at a equitable divorce. We were required to bring all our financial documents. My wife did not bring the documents pertaining to her business. Mr. Smith knew of the business. I sat, waiting for him to ask, where those documents were. He never did. I eventually brought this up myself. In his role he should have advocated for fair open and transparent behavior. He did not do so. He allowed my wife to belligerently equvocate on why those documents were not relevant. When she did so I expected him to say simply: «we need those documents». I was at that point accustomed to my wife’s wrath and knew that she frquently bullied people to get what she wanted. This was why i was attracted to the «Peace Making» advertising. Mr. smith failed in his role as mediator and certainly failed at Peace Making. It is astonishing to witness how someone so well paid can behave with such incompetence at the most fundamental level.
Mr. Smith has difficulty writing legal documents. I brought the document that he had composed, for us, to another attorney for review. While reviewing the document, the other attorney, started to literally, chew on the end of his pencil in frustration with Mr. Smith’s vague, ambiguous language. It was that bad. I personally advise against having him draw up legal documents for you. My experience leads me to believe that there is a likely chance that you will eventually have to have those documents re-​written by genuinely competent legal help.
