Sparks Imports

My girlfriend and I tried to leave a review for this a while back but it apparently didn’t post or Unilocal thought it was worthless… or something. But essentially, I can’t say enough good things about this place. Its a hole in the wall on the outside, but clean and organized as far as the shop itself and the head mech, Albert, is a great dude. Gave me a better price on my blown head gasket job than I could find anywhere else, even at a place that supposedly has the best deals for Subie’s because they specialize in them. What a joke. Albert, on the other hand, did a great job, under warranty, and kept within my budget. Didn’t bullshit me about other stuff that I «needed»…told me honestly what could wait, what couldn’t, and the best way to do it affordably, whether through the shop, or on my own via youtube, or at a specialist. Wait, is this guy a mechanic, or my new best friend? Can’t tell the difference. Thanks again, I’ll tell everyone I know to come to you.

Uh oh! When our subaru decided to blow its head gaskets, my boyfriend and I decided to take it in to Sparks Imports, on the recommendation from a friend. If you didn’t know it was there, you probably wouldn’t see if when you drive past. But boy are appearances deceiving. This place is legit. Albert, the mechanic, gave me a fair quote that was much cheaper than any other place I called at, including a place the supposedly specializes in subarus, and even completed all the work under a warranty. Super friendly, straight-​up, and fast service. The car runs great, the bill wasn’t bad at all, and he made sure I knew what needed to be done and what was okay to put off or ignore for now. My boyfriend and I will be back. but not soon, hopefully!
