20Jan16 @ 11:30am Not busy. Penang Beef and Yellow curry. Warm and inviting. Nice Décor. Friendly service. Both dishes were good. Would probably go to Bai Mint on Woodstock next time looking for thai food.

I love that this place is right down the street from us. I’ve never been to the restaurant, but love getting delivery! The sweetest people always answer the phone and deliver, and they always give a free egg roll with my order. My favorite is the veggie pad Thai! It’s loaded with veggies and has great flavor.

I usually get take out from Siri Thai, which has always been great and on time or early. So this was my first time dining in. I went here for my birthday. The food was terrific and they gave our party a complimentary appetizer along with a free entrée because they made a mistake(pork instead of beef — they caught the error before bringing it to our table but brought us the pork anyway). And free fried ice cream for the birthday girl! The wait staff were really friendly and apologetic for the mistake, and although it was crowded, they kept things moving efficiently and everyone was happily fed. I was really impressed! I don’t usually write reviews, but the service was out of the ordinary in a town full of Thai options. I’ll definitely be back!

This place gets a 2 thumbs up from me and the Mr! We stopped in to grab something to share… We got the Pad Thai w/Tofu which is our favorite. This was no exception with their version. All the right flavors were there and they did not disappoint with portion size. It was enough for both of us to have a full plate and then some! They didn’t charge me extra for the peanut sauce, like most places, and they even gave us a free spring roll. This might have been our first time but it won’t be our last! Thank you for superior service and food! –Melissa

Omg omg omg. Finally a good Thai place nearby, that actually gets the taste & spiciness level right! Came here for dinner and we ordered the pineapple fried rice, pad thai & yellow curry. Also for appetizers are chicken wings, spring rolls, and salad rolls. ALL of these dishes were on-point. I will highly recommend people to get«hot» as their spicy level, and for those of you that doesn’t really like spicy– trust me, it’s not THAT spicy where you need to keep drinking water. Very cute interior, friendly staff, quick service, no hassle parking. Extra bonus: their hot thai tea is also delicious!

Appetizer: fried wanton(requested peanut sauce was missed) a bit overcooked Tom Kha with tofu, medium spicy(spice was MIA) Lemongrass chicken Phad Thai — very tasty Panang Salmon — tasted great just a little awkward eating in front of the rest of the family as it was served almost 15 minutes after the others. The server was very cheerful, the food(especially the lemongrass chicken Phad Thai) was very tasty. The place is comfortable. Delaying one of the meals that long, the overdone fried wanton leaves me feeling that three is the best they’ve done for me that time. I hope to go back and try it again, they’ve got great potential.

I’ve been here a lot and each time I find the food very good. They are glad to see me and attentive to my needs. Clean bathrooms and comfortable. Chicken Curry, soups and fish dishes are excellent.

Close to us so it is our go to Thai joint. I would recommend even making a trip here because this is solid food. Great portions too, plenty for 2 meals in 1 entrée. If you order an appetizer, they usually throw a little lagniappe in there as well. The appetizers are sort of ordinary, but who doesn’t love some crab puffs every once in a while. Great service, I guess they deliver too but haven’t used the delivery, just dine in and take out. Have had some currys, noodles, and soups and have really enjoyed everything to date.

This is still my favorite place for Pad Thai. The sauce is not to ketchupy and has just the right amount of heat for a mild option. We even got free egg rolls when we were waiting for the meal to come.

I order delivery from Siri Thai once every 2 weeks or so and have never been disappointed. One time they forgot the Thai Iced Tea but returned shortly with it and the driver and I had a laugh. Otherwise the food always arrives hot and the staff, both on the phone and the delivery drivers, are very friendly. I’ve had the Panang and Massamun Curries and loved them. I’ve had the Pad Kee Mao and the Pad Thai and loved them(that’s coming from someone that can’t handle Anise if it isn’t balanced correctly yet Siri Thai blends flavors well enough that the Pad Kee Mao is one of my favorites). I’ve had the Fried Rice and loved it. I’ve begun exploring the Specials tab on their online menu and have found a favorite in the Lemongrass Chicken Pad Thai. The Thai Iced Tea is amazeballs, although I have no point of reference(Siri holds my Thai Iced Tea virginity) I think they’ve got it pretty spot on as the flavors balance well. I make sure to order 2 Iced Teas as one is never enough. I rarely write reviews but felt after countless great experiences with Siri Thai, and on a happy and full stomach, I figured I’d get on Unilocal here and let them, and you all know how I felt. Keep it up Siri Thai! You’ve got a devoted customer here in me.

This review is only for delivery, which is the only way we’ve eaten here… Cause why would we leave our house to eat when it could be just as easily and quickly be delivered! Such a great place, all the food we’ve ordered has been excellent and we will continue to get Siri Thai delivered to our house! Pad Thai, eggplant stir fry, salad rolls, peanut sauce, crab fried rice(real crab!), and mango sticky rice were all awesome! Delivery was quoted at 45 minutes and came in 20, nice and hot! We love this place and are lucky to live within the delivery range(2 miles) And complimentary egg rolls!

Thai food in Portland is like coffee shops in Portland. They are everywhere and they are usually pretty decent. Some more so than others, but usually you will find a good and filling meal wherever you wander in Stumptown. Whenever I make my way over to the post office, I almost always pass Siri Thai and on this cold afternoon, my travels finally landed me at their doorstep. I have two standard items that I try and usually one or the other lets me know when I’m having some good Thai food, pad see ew or chicken tom kha. I went with beef pad see ew. All Thai restaurants have some variation of this dish. Light soy, green veggies, egg, meat. Simple dish. This version had carrots and a dark soy sauce but no egg that I noticed. The dish was good although like most all Americanized Thai places, when one asks for hot and spicy, it’s never that hot and spicy. Oh well. They even included a crab puff(Rangoon) and sweet chili sauce. One thing that did surprise me is that tea was not something that was included. It’s pretty standard to get a pot of tea on the table at most all Thai, Vietnamese or Chinese places. Not here. You got one cup and it cost $ 1.50 The place was quiet. I was there way after a lunch crowd would have been there and so the food came out fast and I seemed to be tag teamed by two different women. Both friendly. Siri Thai is a quality place to try out and I can see heading back there soon. Enjoy.

Unlike so many others who dock stars for an establishment not having their particular niche item, Siri Thai doesn’t deserve to lose points because there were no chiles in vinegar(*my* particular«thang» when eating curries). My husband ordered the fried rice with chicken and it was one of the most delicious fried rice dishes I’ve tasted in years. I would have immediately been jealous of his choice over mine, if I hadn’t ordered the Panang curry. It’s literally been years of living in another state with mediocre to lousy tasting Thai food(said state is devoid of such concepts as depth of flavor, spicy heat levels above«do I feel a little tingle?» and«each curry should not taste exactly the same and drowning in fish sauce.»), so sitting down to tuck in to a well balanced, perfectly flavored and spiced Panang Curry was truly a wish come true. Not too sweet or thick, plenty of chicken and crisp green beans… heavenly. Having the option to have brown rice was an added bonus! The atmosphere is lovely and casual, but a wee bit cold if you’re seated away from the heaters. Again, not going to knock off review points for that because to me it’s more about the food. Already looking forward to going back(I overheard many raves from other tables, about the catfish!).

This is one of my favorite Thai places, and I definitely get around in that department. I could eat Thai every day. I always get the Pad Thai to-go, and it is one of my favorites. They have a really nice«date night» atmosphere, and a really nice waiting area for to-go food. They are always very nice and attentive, and give a free spring roll appetizer. I may or may not salivate a bit every time I pass them, but don’t tell them that-they might cut off my addiction.

We kept driving by this place and finally tried it with 2 friends. I ordered crab puffs and salad rolls as my meal, and let the server know of my husbands shell fish allergy. Another person ordered egg rolls to share with the table. They threw in potstickers which was a nice touch, except the appetizers meant to be my meal were brought out as appetizers on a plate with the egg rolls and potstickers, so my husband couldn’t eat them. I ended up having to eat my meal so my food wouldn’t get cold, while others shared the egg rolls and pot stickers, and my husband had nothing. His food then came out next and the other entrees a bit after, making the timing of the meals awkward. This would definitely be a lot better to plan for family style dining(and don’t come with a shell fish allergy then…). The crab puffs were good, and the pineapple rice was as well. The wings were not good, and the salad rolls had very small single pieces of shrimp in them and mostly were lettuce, though with a good sauce. One server was friendly, the other rude, and slow overall. We were given water refills, never asked about our other unrefilled drinks. We were never asked if the bill should be split and when we asked for it, the server informed us we should just go to the counter, grabbed some plates, turned her back and walked away. So, if you want your bill split, ask up front apparently, or just don’t split the bill. We’d consider takeout of the dishes we liked again, but would hesitate before dining in.

Siri is up the street from my office about 10 minutes, so it’s pretty close. So are lots of other Thai places in SE. Why do I come here? They are nice. The food is solid, and they do 5star, which I love. I often get offers for free salad rolls or a free thai iced tea which is a nice little bonus. I usually get pad kee mow or pad thai, so nothing super adventurous. Both are decent. I order the lunch portion to go which gets me through TWO lunches for $ 7 plus tip. I get a little potsticker in my order which is a nice little bonus morsel. It’s consistent. I have never eaten there, I always get it to go and in the 10 minutes or so it takes me to drive from my office there, they have it ready. They do offer delivery and free offers based on the $$ you spend, which is nice.

I was really craving some Thai food last Friday so I order over the phone for take-out. I ordered the pineapple curry and crab puffs. Both were pretty good and the prices weren’t bad either. I got the curry in a medium spicy, though I suggest getting it hotter if you like it hot because it wasn’t that spicy. The pineapple curry has bell peppers, tomatoes, pineapples, and spinach and comes with a complimentary side of jasmine rice. Beware the serving sizes are great; I could of shared it with a friend and still had some possibly left over(but that’s just me, everyone has different appetites). Also, the customer service was really good. The ladies that were working when I came in got me in and out pretty quickly and were very friendly. Overall, good experience and I will be coming back.

Even in my famished state, my palate was not fully satisfied. Appetizers: Complimentary Crab Rangoon, Basil Chicken Wings, and Squid Tempura Main Entrée: Beef Pud See Ew, Tofu Pud Kee Mao, Seafood Combination Tom Yum, Chicken Pad Thai Beverages: Thai Iced Tea After a day of exploring the greater Portland area, the rumbling in our tummies could not be ignored. Anxious to find a Thai restaurant that served pad thai and had decent ratings, this came up on my radar. For out-of-towners, getting to this location was a nightmare, traversing neighborhoods and countless turns. +1 For the interior, they know how to decorate and create a sense of space. It’s comfortable and the seating arrangement was thought out well, not too spread out and not rubbing elbows with your neighbors at the other table. +1 For the menu selection +1 For the gigantic Thai Iced Tea, suitable enough that Thor would smash his goblet for another –2 For the taste: a little meh, with some blah. A red flag for me is anytime I see the sweet chili sauce being served, it means the flavors are meant for the safe Thai crowd as opposed to authentic. +1 For the food portions The value is definitely here, I got what I paid for portion-wise. I appreciate their attentiveness and continually checking up on us. I wish they kicked up their spice level a bit to make each dish stand out.

I eat at lot of Thai places. It’s been my go to comfort food for at least 10 years. I wandered into Siri Thai while on my way home from work a few months ago, and it’s been the only Thai restaurant I’ve visited since then. Portions are large, prices are low, and every dish I’ve tried has been amazing. Throw in free refills on Thai Iced Teas and the occasional complementary appetizer and you’ll find little reason to stray. Service has always been prompt and happy to accommodate our sometimes demanding orders(try adding lemongrass chicken to the Pad See Ew). I would write more but my food just arrived.
