Great selection of Scandinavian delicacies. They sell some very good cheap fish roe too. I’ve also had the almond cake which is very good. I like a slice with coffee in the morning. The owner was very nice and made some welcome suggestions. The parking is on street so it may take a couple of passes.

This is a wonderful little shop that features myriad Scandinavian delights. Mary Grant used to own it and is missed, but a new and lovely woman owns it now and she is so friendly and warm. There are troubles with the credit card system that makes it somewhat difficult to make a purchase, but I am trying to be patient about this. I wish that there were at least 2 staff working because it would be much better, as one could be helpful with the clientele and the other could answer the phone and be at the register. The goods are splendid and I hope that we can all help keep it going! God Jul!

The store has been under new ownership since about 2012, and I haven’t been much of a customer since then, so I can’t really comment on it extensively. I have heard about the«no parking» thing from people I know who live in that neighborhood though, and it’s kinda weird. I think the lady who owns it now is trying in her own way but is not really very good at it.

This place is great. The owner Mary, always has something for you to try when you come in. You will definitely never feel rushed out of this place. I love that I can get authentic swedish and other scandinavian goods and have all my questions answered. Can’t find what you are looking for? Well just ask Mary, she will probably go above and beyond to help you find it. I know I say this a lot, but really it is stores like this, with owners like Mary, who truly make a great community.

Great little shop, with a nice small selection of Scandinavian desserts and breads, chocolates, etc. The owner of the store, Mary, was super sweet and took the time to answer our questions. I will be back next time I’m craving almond cake or something baked in the Scandinavian tradition. As a note, I believe that the address listed has changed, as the store moved. It is now closer to USM than to the Old Port portion of town. Please check the website for the exact address.

Adorable little store, and one of the only places within miles that you can find a Swedish Flag sticker for your Volvo.

This is a charming little shop high on Exchange Street. I went in for the first time and while browsing overheard two first-name basis conversations between the woman behind the counter and customers. The selection is of Swedish foods/candies and Jewish products, an interesting mix. Additionally, they take orders and will freshly prepare a variety of Swedish pastries, such as marzipan torts and lingonberry cookies. The owner, Mary Grant, introduced herself and after I mentioned my visit to Sweden she showed me around the store. A very nice selection, and, for a smaller store, a charming open Nordic atmosphere.
