Simon Says PDX Shuttle

One of the best shuttle services I have had. I fly a lot for work, and usually drive/​park myself. This time had a longer trip and an early flight so decided on a shuttle.
Was a great experience from beginning to end. Easy to book, a reasonable price, confirmed arrival and was even a few minutes early. Absolutely would recommend if you need a shuttle to or from PDX.

I’m not sure if the business has been sold, or has different operators (based on the other 5 star reviews here) so that now the experience is different, but here was my experience:
1.The driver did arrive early.
2. He either had just had a cigarette or drives this car as his daily car and smokes regularly, but the smell was intense. To me that is unacceptable for a shuttle service these days.
3. I had been communicating by email for my round-​trip shuttle service. My return flight was delayed. I emailed the company 2+ hrs prior to the scheduled pick-​up time (8pm communication time for a 10:41p pickup). I was international so I could not call.
4. Apparently the driver still went for the regular pick-​up. The company contacted me for a $ 10 missed pickup fee. They stated that they do not check emails after regular business hours (does a 24hr shuttle service have ‘regular business hours’?), so apparently, and he stated its in their online FAQ sheet, that that is my problem. I was supposed to have called. even though I stated I could not call internationally.
5. I also mentioned that the driver smoked and the car smelled like smoke. He said they aren’t supposed to and he’ll look into it, and then asked me for my credit card number.
I paid them. But I will not ever be paying them any more.
With the convenience of UBER, and the less expensive cost of UBER, and not having to worry about scheduling anything in advance with UBER, and the nearly immediate response, I don’t know how a shuttle service can stay in business with this kind of service.

Simon’s was recommended to me by another shuttle service which could not take me, a great call. Simon had to deal with several delays in my flight on Oct 1, 2015 and was there for me. Decent cost, great ride, and Simon was pleasant and cheery, never mentioning the hassle I caused him. Great experience. Small business so book early.

Hands down, the BEST service ever! I’m not from Portland nor have I ever taken a private shuttle service so I was very apprehensive but from the beginning to the end I was extremely happy. When I made the reservation, I had several questions; not once did they make me feel like I was putting them out or silly. Simon Says is EXTREMELY professional and efficient. The driver Tony is the best!
Tony picked us up right on time; he was courteous, professional, accommodating and communicated before he arrived. The van was comfortable and clean which made the 1.5 hour ride pleasant.
I was so pleased that I requested Tony for my return pick-​up & drop-​off. I’ve told everyone that I know how great Simon Says is and I will be using them exclusively!

We have used Simon Says twice and have another trip scheduled for tomorrow. Booking online was easy. We received a quick response via email. Pick up at 4 a.m. on first trip was right on time. Returning home, our plane was delayed. The driver was ready and waiting when we arrived, late and very tired. This is a great shuttle service — good value, efficient service, friendly driver, great communication. We look forward to many more trips with Simon Says!

As good as it gets. I had planned a 2pm pickup even though my flight was coming in 50 min. earlier, to plan for contigencies like late flights, luggage pickup, etc. They tracked my flight and called me when I came in even earlier, and I had no waiting time!

After reading Unilocal reviews and receiving a very competitive quote, we reserved Simon Says for our round trip transportation from PDX to a downtown hotel. Well, I am not one to notice cars, but his van /​cross-​over (see what i mean?) was the most comfortable ride. Because there were only 2 of us, the seats were moved back to offer a ton of leg room. Easy to step in and out of too.
Our driver (it could have been Simon himself) was extremely pleasant and offered suggestions of things to do, since it was our first visit to Portland. He was early each time for our pick-​ups. Affordable, comfortable, pleasant and reliable. What more is there to say? I think you would be pleased with this service, Simon Says.

I highly recommend this company. I called on Saturday afternoon for an early flight on Monday. I left a message and received a phone call back within 20 minutes. I had also called a couple of other services, but didn’t receive a call back. I was quoted $ 50 from Tualatin to PDX. The driver was 10 minutes early for a 4:45 AM pickup. Good smooth driver and very pleasant too. I will use this service next time in Portland.

I had a 6am flight and the afternoon before starting thinking about how the heck I was going to get to the airport at the crack of dawn. I am always leary of shuttles being on time. I looked on Unilocal and found Simon Says. Boy am I glad to have found them! It was easy peasy. I booked online and called right after as I was sure no one would be available to pick me at at 4am. They answered my call and responded to my email right away and said no problem we will be there. And they were there on time. Simon is so pleasant, it was just a great experience. Will definitely be using them again! Do not hesitant to call these guys.

Excellent, reliable door-​to-​door service, even during the early morning to catch the first flight of the day from PDX. The van is clean and comfortable and can easily accommodate a large family. Simon is a superb host, making any trip to the airport a breeze.

Fantastic service!
We needed to leave for the airport at the soul-​crushing time of 4:15 am. The MAX isn’t exactly the most convenient mode of transportation at that hour. So, after seeing the glowing reviews for Simon, we decided to book a shuttle with him.
How was the experience? Perfect! Simon himself showed up on time and sent a text that he was outside. He helped with our luggage and was a very cheerful, nice guy. Total cost for us (2) was $ 35 from the Alphabet District to the airport.
I would not hesitate for a second to book with Simon over a cab.

I originally found Simon Says on Unilocal.I read all the reviews for transportation services to PDX and picked this one. It was a great find and I have been telling all of my friends about Simon. He is friendly, professional and reliable. Always arrives on time driving a clean, well maintained van. If you need a ride to or from PDX, Simon is your man.

Shortly before an out-​of-​country trip, I contacted Simon Says about a round-​trip from North Portland to PDX, with the outbound very early in the AM. Having had mixed experiences with other services, I was a bit nervous at trying yet another one.
My fears were unfounded this time. Simon was incredibly responsible, professional, timely, and friendly. He seemed as dedicated to making sure everything went smoothly as I was. He arrived in a clean, well maintained, and late model crossover van a few minutes early for a 4:30 am pick-​up, helped us with our bags, and wished us a good trip at arrival at PDX. Upon our return, he left a voicemail as promised confirming his arrival and location. Within minutes, he was there to pick us up at 8:30 at night and took us straight home.
All this and his price was very, very competitive and saved us a few $$$ over parking in an economy lot over eight days… along with a bunch of time.

Great service!!!
Simon agreed to pick me up at 10:30pm at Portland PDX airport, but my flight was changed and delayed several times, and I didn’t get to the curb until 12:55am.
He arrived in 2 minutes.
Clean van, courteous and very nice person; helped with bags, got the doors, did everything right. Offered to turn on the heat, didn’t have his music on, talked just the right amount to be personable.
His price was among the best.
So you get a fair price with great service.
What more can you ask?

I called Simon Says around 10:30 p.m. the night before my flight and asked if someone could pick me up at 9 a.m. the next day – and he said yes. My flight arrived about 20 minutes early, and when I called was told that the van was already waiting for me. The driver (Simon himself, actually) picked me up (I was the sole passenger) in either a new or immaculately maintained vehicle, and during the drive he was friendly and easy to chat with. He mentioned that he has been running his shuttle service for several years now. The charge was extremely reasonable so I added about a 25% gratuity. The next time I fly into PDX I will call Simon Says.

Flew back into PDX for a family emergency, I contacted Simon Says for a last minute pick up. Driver was more than accommodating but prompt. My flight was delayed for two hours, I feared my driver would cancel my reservation, but Simon actually waited and picked me up at airport according to my updated flight schedule.
This driver is amazing. Really made my day. I dont know how to thank you, but Unilocal again! Its rare these days to see companies going above and beyond for clients. So thank you Simon!

I searched a long time online and on Unilocal for a reliable shuttle that wasn’t incredibly expensive.
They were right on time and the van is very nice and clean.
When I first called they weren’t able to answer but called right back.

i had scheduled a pick up with another car service company and they ended up increased their prices last minute and were pretty unprofessional, so I cancelled and called Simon Says instead.
I called at 10:00 am for a 4:30 pm pick up, and Simon Says was able to accommodate us, no problem. My information was repeated back to me, with EXTREMELY fair pricing. They arrived early and the car was clean. Got to the airport early and I have nothing but good things to say about Simon Says!!!

I’ve traveled with Simon Says a few times now and plan to do it for the rest of the time I am a bi-​state resident (CA to OR).
Always on time and clean vans. I usually leave at 4:15 am and arrive at PDX by 5 am.
Great service! Plan to use them for as long as I have my CA job… which could be for a long, long, long… did I say long? … time!
