If they’re made in Oregon, you’ll KNOW you’re getting one of the best Customer Service ever! One of my favorite leopard print umbrella broke, suddenly. What do you expect, I’ve had them since the 90’s, and I use it frequently when it is sunny(yes, I protect myself from the sun, have been since age I started grade school) and from the rain. But one day, while closing them, the foundation just broke. I kept the label Shedrain. It says it’s a lifetime warranty. I didn’t have a receipt, and I didn’t want to mail it in, but the stores didn’t carry umbrellas(not folded variety, I want REAL umbrellas), or I could go buy another one. Looking for them by the search engine, hubby found an address, just less than a mile from us. So we drove there. «Do you replace broken umbrellas?» «We sure do!» I handed her my umbrella, waited in the lobby, in less than 10 mins. she came back and said: «sorry, but we didn’t have that same color or fabric anymore.» She handed me a cheetah brand new umbrella. She added: «we’ll try to fix yours by removing the fabric and put them in a new frame. We’ll call you when it’s ready. You can keep this while you wait for your old one to get repaired.» The next morning, at exactly 9AM, she called me, and told me my old umbrella is fixed! By then, I was already flying high up the clouds. I asked her, how much do I owe them? She said, nothing! And I could keep the other umbrella. Wow! For a girl who collects umbrellas(just incase the other breaks — I have a spare,.. .) that was one of the best Customer Service I’ve gotten in a long time, for merchandise. P. S. Mom had her 60’s umbrella and they’re still around in good shape. They sure don’t make them like they used to!
