I had a blockage in the main sewer line that caused the toilet to back up into the tub, and then the pressure build-up of plunging and running water caused it to leak out from under the toilet, go under the bathroom tile and form sewage pools in the family room. Servicemaster’s Dave responded via my Farmer’s insurance, and a plumber came via my home warranty. Dave cleaned and sanitized once, and the whole thing flooded and spattered again a couple of days later because the1st plumber did not thoroughly clear the blockage. Dave was equally cheerful doing the whole nasty job the second time. He did a wonderful job and was just so willing and so nice about it.

Poor service, and throughout the whole dealing, I felt mislead and lied to. By the way, I’m not the one who selected them. The decision was imposed upon me. My experience with them just totally sucked, it seems like they have no respect for my time and totally fine with leaving people hanging with utility disruption they cause. If management company sends this company ever again, I’m totally refusing access and demand another vendor. Don’t let the insurance rep choose SM on you if that’s not what you want by blindly nodding along to their directions. Insurance often have vendors that hook them up with contract rate. Management company for the condo building sent out SM to address water damage from roof leak which affected multiple units. The guys they sent out evaluated the situation and was supposed to start the actual work at my apt the next day. They show up and promptly sawed through a water utility line in another unit, flooding and messing that unit up. It was a shared pipe, so it caused water outage to multiple homes including mine. The employee that screwed up the water line claimed it will be restored in one hour. So after one hour, water wasn’t restored like the employee claimed and they didn’t follow up about it. I called the office and they promised to call me back within 45 minutes, which was a lie. I call back, and same non-sense. Someone finally called HOURS later. This wasn’t about just a problem. It was about a problem they created. They just plain left me hanging with false promises and no running water for over 4 hours. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they failed to start the mitigation on the day they claimed, because the tech already on site was apparently occupied with cleaning after the apartment he flooded. They chose to not send send someone else to make my appointment. They even refused to stay after hours to get it done the same day so my plans the next day won’t be impacted. I had to compromise my plans the next day for them to show up the next day. When they showed up the following day, I was freaking worried that they were gonna flood my place the same way or do whatever else negligently and wreck my home.
