Senso Massage

Before writing this review, I contemplated creating an anonymous or fake profile because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings or business, but have decided to suck it up and be honest. I have had positive experiences, until now, with patronizing someone’s home business. I had a bad feeling when I arrived because the exterior was unkept, thus fearing the same would be said for the inside. As the door opened, the smell of wet dog and dirt hit me like a ton of bricks. Things did not get better when we proceeded upstairs to the massage room and restroom. PLEASE UNDERSTAND that Martina is a very nice person and did a good job with the massage, but I had a difficult time relaxing surrounded by the smell/​lack of cleanliness. Ironically, on her website, she specifically states to new clients that they need to be ‘freshly showered and free of odor’…WHAT??? Also, when I honestly stated that the house was beautiful, she said ‘yes, but that it needs cleaning and that she’d been too busy to do so,’ I was ready to leave and never come back. I spent hours wracking my brain, telling myself, ‘oh you’re just a clean-​freak’ or ‘don’t be so judgmental,’ but each time, I arrived at the same conclusion: YOU HAVE TO HAVE A MINIMUM STANDARD OF CLEANLINESS and that this place simply did not have that. I have animals in my home also and am able to keep it clean, so I know others can too. I just don’t want someone thinking that they are going to relax and rejuvenate in a spa like environment here if they are not. Martina’s prices are very inexpensive, but I figured that was due to being a relatively new massage therapist and not having to deal with the overhead associated with an brick and mortar business. PLEASE thoroughly clean (at least) the areas that clients will use or go to work at an actual day spa. Martina, you have great skills, but they are being negated by the smell/​dirt in the home in which you work.

I had the pleasure of having Martina as a classmate while attending East West College together. I have been by her side the entire journey through school and I have witnessed her growth as a massage therapist.
While I have not received a massage at Martina’s massage space as I moved from Portland to Bend directly after graduation, I can guarantee that you will have a beautiful, relaxing, massage catered to your needs.
Martina is very sociable, knowledgeable, and caring individual. Her touch is precise and comforting and she will have you melting into the table.
