dont bother going here, they have a very small selection and if u dont buy glasses from them you will have to get another exam anyway to order glasses elsewhere because they will refuse to give you your entire prescription! waste of time and money

Customer service here is top notch! After my appointment at Lenscrafters, I was quoted $ 400 for a pair of glasses($ 200 lens and $ 195 frame). Not feeling like spending that much money, I walked right next door to Sears and went upstairs to their optical department. Shawn was working that day and he was SOHELPFUL. I didn’t know if my insurance covered hardware so he called THREE different numbers to help me find out my insurance coverage. For over an hour I tried on different glasses including sunglasses and Shawn helped me figure out which one is close to my previous pair of glasses, which ones match my face, and which color lens would look best on the sunglasses I was looking at. Amy was also really kind and helpful. They both have a hard time telling you when something doesn’t match your face and they are naturals at saying«that looks great on you!», but if you ask for an honest opinion, they will give it to you and help you figure out the best pair. I was able to get TWO pairs of glasses(one being prescription sunglasses) for $ 380 as part of their current BOGO deal. Such a good deal!!! I got TWOPAIRS of Raybans for less than what I would’ve paid for one pair at Lenscrafters. I would definitely recommend coming here!

I heard good things about Sears optical from a customer of theirs and it was true. After choking on a $ 1000 estimate from lens crafters I went to Sears and got 2 pairs for less than half the price of lens crafters. The manager is very friendly and even gave me a great deal on replacement glasses when I lost my pair after a short time. It’s definitely worth your time to check it out.

A great experience all the way through. I got the exam, with optional dilation, all of which was efficiently performed, but also informative regarding my eye health — as well as health in general! When it was time to get glasses, Amy in particular was invaluable in helping choose the right ones for the shape of my eyes and face. I was very happy with the ones I ended up with, and have received good feedback from my friends. Fast forward a few weeks while I was out of town. When I came back my over-active dog(current profile pic) tore my glasses off my face, mangling them pretty badly. I took them back to Amy at Sears Optical, and … of course, amazing service again. She fixed them expertly in just about a minute. I’d recommend using this shop to anyone.

After taking two unsuccessful trips to LensCrafters at Washington Square(no service after standing around in the store for about 15 minutes both times), I took a chance with Sears Optical last night. By the time I got there, it was after they closed but an employee was still there trying to leave. After what I know had to be one of the busiest days of the year for the store(three days before Christmas and about a week before year end), Connie was willing to help me and even unlocked the glasses she had already put away for the day. She was professional, extremely patient, and helpful as she went through the steps of measuring my face, dealing with my insurance, etc. She even gave me advice on which glasses looked best with my face! The selection at Sears isn’t as large as LensCrafters, but they have some really good options and the difference in service makes it totally worth it. I’ll certainly be back when I need another pair.
