My wife loves Tres Leches cake and I had to order one last minute for her birthday because I forgot(I hope she’s not reading this!). They were able to accommodate my order and got the cake with only 24 hour’s notice. I would not suggest waiting until the last minute. If I remember correctly, they ask for 48 hours notice for the above mentioned pastry. On top of all of that, the cake was amazing. Thank you again! I will be ordering again in the future!

If you’re looking for a cozy unique coffee shop experience, this is the place. Here you will find a friendly atmosphere with reasonably priced food and delicious coffee! An awesome place to hand out, do some homework, and relax. By far my favorite coffee place in the downtown area!

Very surprised at the variety of tamales served here such as mushroom in a chipotle sauce and sweet blue berry. The coffees are amazing.

Coffee was good, staff was beyond rude, don’t bother expecting friendly service unless you’re dressed like a hipster. I waited inline only to have the guy behind me served before me as he appeared to be a regular, you had one chance to get a new customer and you failed, I’ll stick with Starbucks.

I’d heard good things about this place and when Groupon offered a deal here, I seized the opportunity to try it out. The atmosphere is cozy and it was a great place to sit with a hot beverage on a cold Portland day. I got the café de olla, a cinnamon flavored coffee, and a slice of almond tart. I liked the tart, it was not too sweet to eat for breakfast(and it’s gluten free if you’re into that), but it was nothing super special. I’ve never had café de olla before, so I don’t know if this one was particularly good or not, but I found it a bit too adventurous for my taste. The service is great. The woman behind the counter was friendly and personable. Best of all, I accidentally left my purse there. I called the shop as soon as I realized it was missing, and when I returned a few minutes later, they were holding my purse safe and sound behind the counter. Definitely a good thing!

Love this place. It’s got great coffee. It’s got fantastic food options. It’s got a comforting vibe. It’s in a good location. It’s got an amazing history and soulful name… it has amazing photos of iconic people on the walls. I missed my chance for Blueberry tamales so I will have to go back! I don’t live or work in that area anymore but if I did I would frequent more often.

This place is soooo cozy and cute! A little piece of home just right outside of where I live. ¿Are you VEGAN/VEGETARIAN? Must stop by!!! I just had their Vegan Chipotle Mushroom Tamale and made love to it. They also have Vegan Blueberry Muffins but were already sold out! There is just so much love here, I am definitely coming back :)

Very windy day and last day of final — I was running on empty with no breakfast or lunch. Downtown was chaotic and I needed a serene environment and a comfort food. I have walked past it many times, and finally went in on a whim. It was warm colored interior and smell of cinnamon, coffee, and savory tamale was inviting. I was ravished and ordered chicken mole, flan, and drink. Mole was dry and even cold after coming out of the microwave. I would get moist steaming hot ones from food cart so won’t be getting that again, but flan did not disappoint with it’s creamy texture and drink was sweet with light corn texture. Be back for beverage and desserts. 11÷6÷20151:00 pm I stop by occasionally for beverage and dessert. Today I contemplated between café de olle tres leche cake and flan with chocolate. I got the right beverage but the cake was just tres leche, not the coffee one. Order wasn’t corrected and cake was just too sweet and soft as expected, could barely finish it. It was somewhat busy and was cast aside. Taking one star down for customer service. 11÷7÷20158:00 am Decided to stop by first thing in the morning to get the café de olle tres de leche. I was braking my once a week treat rule, but I wasn’t satisfied with yesterday’s experience. Lady remembered me and apologized, so it seems store owners do read and care about customer experience, which I appreciate. Putting stars back to 4 :) As for the cake? It was just the right texture and flavors of bitter coffee and cream(less sugar). Well worth paying extra for. Didn’t cause insulin spike like yesterday, but I’ll be running later this evening to burn it off!

La Revolución is a happy, tasty place! You must try proprietor Josefina’s Blueberry Tamales, made from her grandmother’s secret recipe and served with the perfect dollop of bright lemon curd. The vibe is so lovey and the music is so pleasant; it’s a very nice location to relax and visit friends. Viva la Revolución! Viva Josefina! Viva la Abuela de Josefina!
