I stumbled upon Quesabrosa completely by accident. The restaurant I planned to eat at on Mississippi was closed and a quick Unilocal took me to Quesabrosa and boy I’m glad it did! First it wasn’t crowded and second the food was home style Mexican. It’s a food truck where two ladies are churning out this awesome fresh tacos and other things in the menu. I got the fish tacos and my husband got the pollo and chorizo tacos. Both were so fresh and tasted like they came out of someone’s mom’s kitchen. They also have the New Mexican style Christmas(red and green) sauce. I must warn you that the green sauce is super spicy. All in all great tasting Mexican food which happens to be pretty cheap which makes it my go to place when I crave tacos and not in the mood for fancy.

HOMEMADETORTILLAS! 5 stars alone for their tortillas because it was AMAZING. They make it fresh on the spot when you order! It was a pillow of goodness and it didn’t tear or get soggy from all the taco contents! I only got to try two tacos which was the chorizo pork and the steak. They were both incredibly tasty. I personally loved the chorizo pork because it had more of a sauce but both meats were tender and flavorful. I think for what you’re paying, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. Highly recommend if you’re in the area or if you’re waiting for Tasty n Sons and need a quick snack: D

Sopes here were pretty good.$ 3.50 each beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado. The 2 salsas. Were ok. And they will make chillis torriados. La señor Reyna, is the proprietor. She is a nice lady enjoyed a brief chat with her. Good mexican food, good people.

I really wanna like this place… the people are so nice… but alas, this is just Mexican for white people food. It’s quite bland, poor proportions of contents, and low quality ingredients. I feel sorry for the people giving it four or five stars. They’ve obviously never tasted great Mexican food even when it’s inexpensive.

Talk about a hidden gem. Didn’t know it existed. Walking by on foot on a sunny summer day. The back seating is spectacular and quaint. Food and prices are spectacular. Well done clean taco truck Mexican food.

I found a burnt toothpick in my taco. One of the parents at my son’s school had maggots, yes maggots, in their burrito. Read old reviews of ball of hair found in burrito. So gross.

Never underestimate the power of a Mexican food cart! This place is amazing, and a great deal for filling, tasty food. We’ve been getting the two veggie tacos and splitting a veggie burrito. It’s more than enough food for two. Definitely a must try if you love tacos!

Outside seating only, this little food truck is just what you need. Probably the only truly affordable eating option on that stretch of Williams. I had two veggie sopes and they hit the spot.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food. I came across this spot and it was good! Their food was freshly made, they give you plenty! Their meat had flavor. I will be back!

They serve up large tasty portions at this N. Williams food cart. The prices are cheap and they take credit cards with minimum $ 5 purchase which you’ll want to do here because the food is so good. Was recommended to me by locals who are Mexican food savvy and they did not steer me wrong. I’ve had their signature burrito and the hard and soft tacos so far and I’ll be back for sure.

Overjoyed to find them at their new location on N Williams just south of Shaver. You may remember them from that pod on the corner of N. Vancouver and Fremont Ave. Their carnitas tacos are the best I’ve found here in Portland. That was after trying about a dozen different places since I moved here a year ago. The ladies who run the place are awesome too. Highly recommended!

*they moved to N Williams and N Failing(if I remember correctly)* They do fat and salt well here. We ordered a carnitas taco, al pastor taco and a pork tamale. The salsas were spicy! It was a flavorful refreshing kick. The meats themselves had ok flavor but together with the salsa and masa portion, made it really tasty. It’s like eating a sandwich with crappy deli turkey but amazing fresh baked sourdough bread. You don’t care about the one component of meal because together it was .(Sorry, I had to say it.) The corn tortillas seemed like they were homemade. They were small, fluffy, chewy and so warm. Great on a gray chilly day! The masa on the tamale made me so happy. My biggest complaint about tamales is that the masa tends to be dry. While other places may have better filling, this tamale had nice salty pork and very moist, soft, dense masa around it. There’s only outdoor seating on sturdy plastic picnic tables that seat 4 and a few chairs up against the side of the food cart. You may pass by it and question if it’ll be a delicious hole-in-the-wall or gross. Take the risk. It’s good! Not great but they make up for it in fat, salt and warm fluffy, chewy tortillas. Credit card minimum of $ 5.

Great location, as it is only a few minutes from my work! The women who work at this cart are very sweet and it seems like they know their Mexican cuisine. I ordered the chicken burrito, which was super delicious. The burritos come with lettuce, salsa, beans, cheese, rice, and sour cream. I find that to be pretty rare for it to not just be beans, rice and cheese. The tortilla was either fresh made or sourced from a very authentic tortilleria. The chicken was shredded, tender, and moist. Every thing was top notch except salt. Everything needed more salt. It was a bit of a disappointment, actually, when I realized I couldn’t taste the full flavor because they skimped on the salt. However you do get a chipotle sized burrito for $ 6.50 and really nice service. Plus they do take out or have tables and chairs so you can eat there. I would definitely go back, but it is not my favorite burrito in Portland.

I got the chicken burrito mojado style and it was delicious! $ 6.50 for a burrito and an extra $ 1.00 to get it wet. The burrito had beans, rice, cheese, chicken, cabbage or lettuce and lots of cilantro in it. The red sauce that they made it wet with was soooo good. It wasn’t too sweet and had some warmer notes to it. It wasn’t spicy at all but they red salsa they serve is super hot. The green salsa is good with a lot less heat. I’m eager to return and try the tacos!

I was headed down to southwest for a meeting but wanted to grab something along the way and my transfer bus was 10 minutes out. So what do I see? Quesabrosa. I’ve stated before that I love street tacos and Portland has gotten neck and neck with the places I regularly visited in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It seems each new street taco place I find, the more impressed I am with the food up here. Quesabrosa is no different. The only surprise, I didn’t see lengua on the menu. It’s become a staple for me when I get tacos, but alas no lengua for me on this day. Beef and pork were welcome and tasty options. The green salsa had quite a bit of lime to it but not as much spice as I had hoped. Both meats were great, not really spicy but moist and right on point. I really liked the soft tacos themselves. Homemade and really good. Gotta love good food when you’re not necessarily looking for it. Enjoy.

Very tasty tacos: with the carnitas and the carne asada leading the pack. Loved the ambiance, and the location(just across the street from the New Seasons Market) can’t be beat. Have already been here twice in a week, with more to come :-)

You know when you have a favorite restaurant and you just can’t bring yourself to order something different on the menu because the thing you get is always so perfect? This is THE burrito place in Portland for me. The gals who run this cart are super nice, the food is great, portions are huge, and it’s super cheap. I recommend the veggie burrito. GOHERE.
