Good course, friendly staff. Some boxes were beat up though.

In town on business and was scheduled to play 9 holes with a client after work; however I was able to sneak over earlier and figured I would hit some balls and grab some lunch but seeing as they do not have a range(only a small area where you can hit into a net) I elected to play a 9 hole warm-up. The course isn’t too long(only 6,100 from the tips) but is a course you need to play a few times to learn its nuances(blind shots, hilly terrain and some narrow fairways). The course is in great shape, especially the greens, a little slower than I like but seeing as it poured overnight they rolled true. The front 9 is the easiest side with #7, 8&9 being nice little holes with plenty of elevation changes. The back 9 is much more scenic and challenging as this is where the original rock quarry existed. We had dinner and drinks afterwards and the food was great. A nice little hidden gem not far from Hartford.

It is a short course with some nice view from a few holes. The course is not in very good shape. The tee boxes are chewed up and some of the greens are in need of repair. Nothing like the photos on the website. It is reasonable priced and the staff is certainly friendly. I would play again if there was nothing else available.

My favorite local course in the area. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and I’ve played dozens of rounds. It’s a bit of a strange layout, built literally on a small mountain /quarry, but you’ll grow to love it. Lots of interesting holes, and it plays relatively short so you can shoot some nice scores! Great clubhouse as well. Oh yeah, and they actually ENCOURAGE you to bring coolers on the course! What’s better than that?!

I dont know what the other reviewer is talking about. Played here for the first time and the only good thing was the greens. The tee boxes were out of shape and the course is super short in length. A par 5 is about 463 yards from the blues. What makes this course more annoying is how its not walker friendly. You have to get a cart and can not walk the course at all. Also the layout of the golf course is one of the weirdest I’ve seen. Some holes you have to drive backwards from the green to the tee box to play the hole. A lot of teeshots go downhill and than go uphill again. The only good thing was — no one was there in the morning and I finished 18 in about 3 hours.
