Quality Used Tires

This place is great. I called a Les Schwab and was quoted nearly 300 $ for a pair of tires. I ended up going here and getting a pair installed for 100 $ with fantastic tread. The service was very fast and I was in and out in no time. People get turned off hearing «used»; however, there are many reasons why hardly used tires end up being sold. Taking advantage of that can save you some serious money. Definitely recommend.

Super honest and extremely helpful! I bought a set of used tired from here during the summer when I busted a tire on a curb, I got a great deal with no frills! Today I went in for a flat and had that repaired, all my tires rotated, and they helped me change a busted headlight all for 20 bucks! I will continue to drive out here because it’s always worth it! GO HERE FOR YOUR TIRE NEEDS!

I wish I could give this place negative stars. The guy was really rude. Wouldn’t even look at our car for more than two seconds before claiming he couldn’t help us.

No stars. The man working here was defensive and rude the minute we pulled up even though we called ahead a time to ask the price on getting rid of tires. He argued and lashed out and we decided to leave. Will NOT ever come back here. There is no need to put up with such rudeness.

I needed to get one tire, a used one, because only one was on the more questionable side, to last a short while until I can get a set of tires that are matched and from the same manufacturer. Based on my call to this place, everything sounded hunky dory. I tend to know salient information about my vehicle, so it makes sense I would know its tire size. Upon calling, I expediently got the answer that they do carry that size in a used tire and that it would be about (a reasonable price, all included).
Within a day or two, I went there and the dude I spoke with turned out to be sort of a curmudgeon, especially for his age. I walked back with him and looked at the tires of the size I needed and pointed to one. He told me, ‘I’m not going to break up a set.’ Now how the hell am I supposed to know that’s a set since there’s nothing to indicate that? So he pointed to another one which looked acceptable, though not as meaty as the one I first pointed to. The price he gave me was $ 5 higher than what he quoted me, which I reminded him of, so he lowered it to the price per the telephone call. Then, he told me that it would be $ 5 extra for the tire disposal fee (*thinking «all inclusive price, yeah, right”*). It was not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but «come on, man» … he knew I didn’t need a tire sitting in the middle of my trunk!
They did the job quickly. The other guys who work there and the one who did the installation were more laid back. The car’s ride quality has improved as a result of changing that tire. I will need to get a new set of tires and I know that.
For now, I’m going to blend the ratings which are all over the map and say that, at 3 stars, they are ok. They must be doing something right because they occupy a notable corner, that being (NE) 82^nd and Sandy. On the other hand, there aren’t many of these places, so maybe they have somewhat of a captive audience.
I’ll leave the rating at what it is for the brief but all over the map sort of experience and update the review if something funky, like what others have described in their reviews, happens.

We have been going here for years and they always help us out. This time though they really deserved a good Unilocal review! We had to replace two tires 6 mos ago, then 4 months later someone slashed one of the tires at work. We came back and replaced it, then it formed a bubble on the side (which is dangerous to drive on) we brought it back 8 days past its warranty and they still honored it and have us another tire for free. I highly recommend using this spot!

I arrived at this tire shop after my back right rear tire blew. I have a very low modified Mazda 3 car which is usually hard to accommodate when maintenance to the car need to be done. But if you have an exotic car you can take it to this place these guys know how to take care of such cars when it comes to tire replacements without injuring your vehicle. Josh and Dennis were the best they were fast and provided a lot of information regarding their tires specs and how to upkeep tires.
I ended off getting all 4 of my tires replaced with brand new tires for $ 360. I received a 160 day warranty with a free tire rotation on your second oil change. They were very polite and efficient. I would go back to this place in the future. Good prices, good service, and lots of variety of tires to choose upon. I plan on writing a post 2 year review regarding their quality of product, will keep everyone posted.

The guys might not be the most polite but they’re honest and the prices are fair. They changed all four of my tires in less than hour and had me on my way.

My friend called and talked to someone, told her all the specs of the tire that needed replaced over the phone, and was told that the tire/​rim where there. I drive his ass out there to meet up with a woman who appeared to be on speed, flips through her «tire bible» to tell us several times that the tire info we provided her didn’t match what the book described as though we didn’t understand her the first time. The surly man who owns the shop came in and did the same thing she did (tell us about 15 times that his book doesn’t match my friends description) not allowing him to get a word in edge wise. The owner then proceeds to accuse my friend of lying about how many lug nuts are in the tire. He asked my friend several times if he was lying about what was on the original tire. He accused my friend of lying about what was printed on the tire and he’d written down. Flat out. We thanked him for his time. And the owner had one more lovely match to throw on my now flames, and that was to lighten up some… My day ain’t so bad.

Amazing service! Great people and awesome product!

I just called to inquire about some tires. I was calling from a land line but apparently the man on the other end couldn’t hear me. I kept saying, «Hello, hello» and he was doing the same. Eventually he said, «Oh, go F*&^ yourself!» and hung up.
I understand the frustration of not hearing someone on the other end of the phone but when you run a business, it could be a potential customer, and in this case it was. I won’t be calling this place back, nor will I be giving them any business.

I went there this morning to get all my tires switched out and I got 4 retreaded tires for 220 … they were quick and they did an excellent job.

I have went there a few times over the years. They are fast, which I like. The quality is good most of the time. I should say all of the time since the tires I bought from them ard just fine. I live close to them and I like knowing where to go when I have a tire problem.

These folks refused to make good on their 90 day warranty after 2 of the 4 tires i purchased for my subie went bad with lumps in them. They are corner cutters and do not deserve to be making money putting people’s lives at risk with unsafe auto work. I went in twice, hoping to find a resolution, but thdy brushed me off, given that they already had my money. If the owner reads this, here is your chance to make this right! CONTACT ME. I am tired of feeling unsafe every time i get in my car… and it will come back to you if my tires cause an accident. I have all of this documented, rest assured.

I’ve been tire shopping for a while. Knowing that my financial aid this fall would allow me to use my part-​time paycheck on something other than rent, I’d planned to get new tires on my car and have some little work done. Then I took my car to the dealership to handle some old recall issues and left with a list of «issues» which included the tread measurements on my front tires — they would not be safe to get me to my vacation destination 800 miles away next month. This made the need for tires a necessity sooner than anticipated and of course earlier than my funding would prefer.
In my research, I had become familiar with options at Tires 4 Less and Les Schwab. Since I really only needed two for the trip, a friend had suggested I look into used tires considering I don’t drive much other than trips now and again. Les didn’t have used tires in my size and Tires doesn’t carry used ones at all, so I started searching. Good olé Unilocal!came to the rescue with a high star rating and recent reviews suggesting I give these guys a try.
I called first to check for my size. The person who answered the phone spoke quickly and I assumed him to be busy, but he confirmed that they had my size in stock and the pair would run me $ 75 or $ 80 and up. I went about my day and when all errands were done, I dropped by. I was lead to the selection in my size and chose the two tires with the best looking tread I saw. One of them would be $ 30, the other $ 35, as in $ 65 installed and out the door. I was thrilled that this adventure wouldn’t break the bank.
When they went to put the new-​to-​me tires on my wheels, they discovered both were cut or cracked and not safe for me to drive on. They discarded (or recycled) the ones I had selected and offered to make the best selection for me. The search yielded few options and I shared that I’d needed the tires now for my upcoming road trip. That’s when the nice guy helping me (I didn’t catch his name) changed his recommendation. He shared that he wouldn’t trust used tires on a trip that long for himself, but that driving around town and to the coast would be fine. He went to see what kind of deal he could give me on a new pair.
I was at the shop for less than an hour including the little bumps in selection. I left with two new tires at a price that was at or just below what I had been quoted everywhere else and I wasn’t made to feel like a number, nor did the fact that I’m female seem to have an affect on the way I was treated or spoken to. I appreciated that quite a bit.
I’m satisfied with my purchase and more than satisfied by the service. I really appreciate the honesty and trust that exists at this shop and I’d recommend them to anyone. I’ll likely be back to change out my spare in the future, and I feel safe to head out on vacation in two weeks and didn’t have to spend my entire trip fund to replace the tires.

This place is great. My boyfriend and I needed a tire on the front of our car but wanted to hold off on new ones until we can replace all of them at the same time. I called like 20 Les Schwab locations to see if anyone had a used tire, to no avail. Finally I called Quality Used Tires — Mary was super helpful and told me they had my tire in stock. I went over immediately, and 15 minutes later, I had a new (to me) tire on the front of my car. These guys are great. It’s nothing fancy, but they are good at what they do. I would absolutely go back to them if I needed another used tire in the future. Oh, and it was only $ 45 — which included recycling of our old tire.

I couldn’t afford new tires for my AWD SUV (having spent all my money on said SUV). Les Schwab wants around $ 1,100 for 4 tires. I don’t drive much – maybe 8k miles per year, if that – so I decided to go looking for used tires.
First I started out for The Tire Shop at NE 94^th and Halsey, but I couldn’t find it… maybe they’re gone now? Or maybe I just missed it? So I headed to Quality Used Tires.
I got 4 decent tires (with way more tread than what I came in with), plus disposal of my old tires, for $ 370. They were polite and efficient. I was in and out in an hour. The blond guy waited on me… I don’t know his name, but he knows tires and didn’t try to BS or pressure me – just gave me what I asked for.
There’s no place to sit and wait, but I noticed there’s a 24-​hr breakfast place right across the street. (I opted to stand around.)
My tires came with a 90-​day warranty. If something goes awry I’ll update my review, but so far I’m very pleased with the service and price.

Used Tires — yes. Quality — No.
I feel bad because there are nice enough people running this joint but I got sent off with 4 used tires that were deemed «very dangerous» by the AAA guy who had to assist me with two flat front tires too shortly after I purchased them from here. They looked perfectly fine when I had them put on, but looks are deciving.
They had been haphazardly retreaded and were peeling up from from sides, both loosing air rapidly even though nothing physical had punctured them. I’m fortunate that they just fizzled flat while my car was parked instead of blowing out on the freeway. This place does exchanges but not refunds and there is usually a service fee regardless. I decided to opt away from discount tires and went and got some new ones elsewhere.
I’m sure there are some used tire shops around town that have perfectly safe product, but after this encounter I couldn’t bring myself to drop more money on another group of possible duds.

Went there today after I had gotten a flat. Called Les Schwab first and asked about tires in which they told me that I would have to spend close to 900 bucks for all four. Went to Quality Used and was informed I would actually only need two at ¹⁄₈^th of the cost! Totally crazy and a life saver!
Pretty packed when I got there and the parking lot is kinda crazy.
But when the mechanic got working on my car it took him 15 minutes to change tires.
The price was worth the wait.
The people who work here are also friendly and really nice.
