Great neighborhood hangout — wonderful brunch and breakfast plus they stock groceries if you get caught short. All ingredients are highest quality — counter staff is friendly and personable and never get flustered no matter how long the line — they bust right through it and everyone is happy.

I might move to Portland for their eggplant sandwich. So, so delicious. That grilled ciabatta bread. Beet relish. A touch of feta. Life changing good.

The brisket is awesome. Other things are delicious. The place is quaint as all get out. But if you skip the brisket, you’re missing out.

There’s a place called Mendocino County. In that very unique area holds real beautiful people that strive for such offerings. Especially within the Anderson Valley ;) Food is served with love and joy and is meant to be consumed the same way. A must visit and revisit! Very much appreciated. A piece of home right in a beautiful neighborhood of North Portland.

Can’t say enough good things. Had a delicious brunch while being serenaded by some great live bluegrass. A cute, folksy atmosphere with delicious food, and despite the crowd, we were seated within 15 minutes. Wasn’t sure it would be worth driving across town. It was, and I’ll be back!

Wow, what a wonderful find. I was searching for nearby food options and found this little gem. I decided to give it a shot based on Unilocal feedback and what a great place. Comfortable, clean, friendly, healthy and great menu choices. I had the BLT and quite honestly, the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely return.

I don’t have a lot of eloquent things to say. But praise you, P’s & Q’s market! If I could afford to eat brunch every morning of every weekend, I’d likely come to you and eat all of your regular menu items then power through your specials. My boyfriend and I both had the Bacon & Brisket Hash this last weekend and it was SPECTACULAR! The brisket was divine and moist, the potatoes were well-seasoned and the kale was so nicely cooked as well(I hate when kale is tough, chewy and underwhelming — but not here!). We’re hoping we emulate the hash so we don’t break our banks — jalapeño, potato, kale, bacon, brisket with a perfectly cooked fried egg and a side of really tasty toast and delicious jam. Keep it up, I am so happy to be in this neighborhood!

This is an adorable place to grab brunch on the weekends. Super low key and small — it’s inside of a little market — but do they know how to do some delicious food. Order first and then take a seat. Friendly and fast service too. I got the breakfast sandwich with a fried egg, coppa, arugula and spicy mayo. It was delicious! I was full but not stuffed, which was nice. I added a small salad to it too. Perfect! The dressing they used was so good, I should have asked if they sold it in the market. Brunch is only served on the weekends but all of their lunch food sounded amazing as well. Next time I am in the area I will be stopping by P’s & Q’s Market!

Great little market in my neighborhood. You can run in and grab some groceries(it’s like a natural/local quickie mart) or grab some delicious food. Prices are fair, staff is friendly and helpful, they even have a suggestion box for items you’d like them to carry.

I am a simple person. I only require the best. P’s & Q’s Market has curated some of the best items on their shelves. If you are short on time and ingredients, select something off their menu so delectable delights. I picked up a delicious and balanced BLT. No one seems like they’re in a rush, so take your time if you open this door.

I came across P’s & Q’s Market when searching for a barbecue joint that is open during lunch on a Monday – we didn’t end up going there that day, however, my friend ended up going another time and dared to call it the best brisket sandwich that he has ever had. Apparently, he wasn’t the only one singing that tune. I love the idea of this small neighborhood market with fresh, local groceries combined with a deli and seating within the same space. It’s located in the Woodlawn neighborhood so the only time I could make it in that direction is on Sundays. I made the mistake of going around 11am because they still had brunch and didn’t have their lunch menu items until 1pm. Although the brunch menu sounded amazing… I had my heart set on a barbecue sandwich so I browsed around the store and left. Last Sunday, my friend and I decided to do a late lunch after spending the morning snacking at the Farmer’s Market. Parking this time wasn’t right in front of the store but there was plenty of spaces to park around the block. We made it right when they were transitioning before brunch to lunch menu. Both got the brisket sandwich with a side of fries. They have homemade soda on rotation, the choices was elderberry flower or root beer – I don’t drink soda very often anymore but I am a sucker for homemade root beer and had to have one. They have indoor/outdoor seating, we had no problems finding a table after ordering. The root beer was the best decision ever, it was light but had that distinct root beer flavor without too much bite – so good! It was a very tasty brisket sandwich. I like the citrus-note of the marinade on the tender brisket and there was contrast of the crispy slaw with the toasty yet soft potato rolls. My only complaint, I didn’t feel that there was adequate meat and slaw to bun ratio. Love, love extra crispy fries. On my way out, I purchased a loaf of the Como bread for ½ off because it was a day old. Awesome deal. Good service and the atmosphere is bright and cozy – it is not loud inside which makes it a great place to catch up with people.

The concept of this charming place is quite unique. Get some cool groceries or have some tasty viddles or have both? It kind of reminds me of your favorite boutique but it’s for food for food I say! When the weather is nice take those viddles and fine refreshments outside and watch the world go by on Dekum. Just remember no smoking at the tables or vaping! I think we can still inhale and exhale though that’s respectful to all as long as your not a mouth breather lol! Ok so definitely pay this spot on a visit perp on a lazy Sunday afternoon that would be the cherry on top of your weekend. Oh hey I think cherries are in season soon and I’m sure they will have some sweet juicy ones to eat. Happy Eatings Chaps and Chapettes!

Best business in Woodlawn, hands down. Paul and Emily are very much a rooted part of the neighborhood, even if they are relatively new here. This Old World European style market and restaurant nails it on every point. The groceries are simple and high quality, covering the most important necessities and staple food items and offering a good bulk selection and a great offering of wines and beers, both imported and local craft varieties. They stock a decent array of local and imported produce, although the imports are not organic. The cheese selection is terrific and delicious, and the Grand Central Bakery breads, which they serve in the restaurant with soup and sandwiches, are often sold as day olds for half price. The restaurant is the true gem at the heart of P’s & Q’s. Paul does a fantastic job delivering a wonderfully varied menu of simple and comfortable foods made from fresh, local, highest quality ingredients, and the prices are very reasonable. The regular menu changes seasonably, with daily specials that never fail to impress, and the regular soup and french fries are the best in town! There are always vegetarian options and the staff are wonderful about making suggestions on how to accommodate a vegan diet. The deli case is always stocked with local meats and desserts from wonderful independent purveyors, alongside house made salads and what has come to be my favorite hummus in town. The salted chocolate chip and the molé cookies are delicious, especially paired with hot Trailhead Roasters coffee! Finally, free fortune cookies and dog treats at checkout, as well as flower pots and sidewalk chalk out front in the sidewalk dining area, ensure that your whole experience is wonderfully welcoming and guarantees you will want to come back as often as possible, even if just to get a couple of twenty five cent otter pops from the freezer.

(If a 2.5 stars rating existed, I would click that) I like the concept of this place, unfortunately it feels like everyone who works here has zero food service experience. P’s & Q’s is a throwback corner grocery. It sells some staple items for your kitchen and doubles as a coffee shop /eatery. If you want to eat, you have to order at the counter. If you’re lucky, you find a seat and they bring you your food. If it isn’t busy, I’m sure this is no problem. However if it is, pray you find a seat before your food comes up. This business model never made sense to me. I had eaten here once before but my most recent visit was on Mother’s Day(inconsequential because I didn’t see many folks there with Mom). We sat at a table for a while before we realized we had to order at the counter. The good news(not really good news) is that the kitchen is so slow that our food didn’t come up before we found a seat. The bad news is that the kitchen is so slow that our breakfast visit took 90 minutes. The food was good, but not 90 minutes good. When it did arrive, the woman said«Thanks for being patient, it’s nuts in here». It was, in fact, not nuts. I don’t even think that they were at capacity. There were 3FOH people, 2 cooks and 1 floating person in the back(from what I can see). It seemed like although they were really nice, nobody had a clearly defined job. Everyone seemed to rotate between taking orders at the counter, running food, running around and doing who knows what else. We ordered drinks(non-alcoholic) that never came and we had to go check on them ourselves. If you need to grab some milk and a loaf of bread on your way home, this place will do. If you want to grab a coffee and maybe a snack and you aren’t in a hurry, this place will do. If it’s a time of the week when it might be busy and you have somewhere else to be, you might want to roll the dice elsewhere.

This is the best spot to go for breakfast or lunch. The service is truly impeccable, the atmosphere is really cool, and the staff is very helpful. A new employee made my girlfriends eggs different then what the ordered. Not only did they refund the meal they also rush made it in 2 – 3 minutes. Very professional and sincere. We love P’s and Q’s!!!

Half market, half dine-in eatery, P’s and Q’s is rustic, casual and delicious. Almost everything is made in house and is fresh, fresh, FRESH. I almost wept real solid tears after my roast beef sandwich yesterday, which consisted of perfectly marbled pink roast beef, thin peppery radishes, arugula, and lots of french butter. Delicious, lightly salted, creamy butter. Sandwich prices can be a little sticker-shocky to some, but for the quality they are right on point. Other options include seasonal salads, soups, or a strata or quiche slice paired with baby greens for only $ 6. And the back case is stacked with delicious drinks! This place makes a relaxing lunch or dinner visit. Service is friendly and the food is not quick, but amazing upon arrival. It’s definitely a place I would go out of my way to take visitors to.

A neighborhood gem! I don’t know what took me so long to get in here. Tonight was too hot to cook, but the wait at Breakside didn’t appeal to me-so I followed a recommendation and checked into this place. So glad I did. Wine, beer, tea, coffee and an impressive menu. I had the special chickpea sandwich(on ciabatta bread) and it should be on the menu for keeps! It was divine. While waiting for my sandwich I strolled around and picked up some goodies from the market for dinner tomorrow. Can’t wait to check out brunch!

I really like this place. Definitely a place to have a quiet conversation with a friend, cozy up with a warm book(maybe I should actually read something), or do some serious work. Maybe they changed since the reviews I read, but the service was warm and friendly, the brisket has an amazing citrus note(although I wish the serving portion was larger, and the fries are decent, a little crispier than standard), and some of the bulk items are fairly priced(organic apples $ 2/pound, organic quinoa $ 5/pound). Make sure you get one of the jam and almond thumbprints on your way out. The salted chocolate chip cookies are pretty good too.

Excellent neighborhood market with a breakfast café inside. The bacon and brisket hash was out of this world. The coffee was good too. And the jelly provided was crazy good. The only thing that lowered the experience was the indifferent service. We never got checked on or helped. But the atmosphere is kind of a help-yourself approach, which is low key and nice. I was impressed by the pastries and pickles in the display case. Someone is putting a lot of love into the baking here. It is impressive. I would definitely come back.

So glad I finally made it into P’s & Q’s! BF and I were out and about in the neighborhood a few days ago and decided to stop for lunch. We both got the brisket sandwich, and I have to say that it totally deserved to make the cover of Portland Monthly as best sandwich in PDX. Meat was tender and melted in your mouth, and slaw added the right amount of crunch. Fries were a little salty, but still good. I would definitely get that again. Friendly, homey service and nice feel to the place. It’s a little expensive, but overall not bad. I love this new addition to the Woodlawn neighborhood! If you are in the area, you should definitely check them out.
