These people are amazing, by far the best flowers I have ever used. The people are wonderful, courteous, and helpful. They really saved my daughters wedding day. The flowers where absolutely perfect, and so fresh you would think they just picked them an hour before we picked them up. I would recommend these people over any other florist and I have worked with a few. Definitely the very best quality. My daughter ordered some other flowers from Costco and they were dead on arrival. PLEASE, if you need flowers, Portland Wholesale Florists are the only choice! Thanks to Doug, my daughters wedding was gorgeous!

I used this company approximately 3 yearz ago for wedding flowers and was very happy with the service. We are having another wedding and went to the store on Thursday march 19th. I was disappointed by the rudeness of the clerk. They did not have any books to look at except one of flowers they had done with maybe 4 different arrangments. We will not be using this company again.

I ordered carnations, white lilies, bourvardia, roses and lots of babies breath. I can’t speak highly enough about how accommodating they were. Doug is awesome to work with! I asked that the lilies arrive a few days earlier than the rest of more order and that they be left out of the cooler so they could bloom. I received confirmation calls to ensure I knew the flowers had arrived. I couldn’t have asked for better floral freshness. I arrived to pick up the flowers at the designated florist and they were very efficient and professional though I wouldn’t necessarily say overly friendly. They may just have been busy. I wish they were more conveniently located for me though I would certainly use them again. One of the best things I liked about using them is that unlike the big online flower suppliers, I didn’t have to order large quantities of each type of flower which is a HUGE plus!

If you order from PWF, be sure to check your flowers before accepting them. I picked up my order at Broadway Floral and left without carefully examining each stem. The Gerbera daisies were beautiful and held up well for the three days until my son’s wedding. I wasn’t as lucky with the hydrangeas. I ordered 10 stems and unfortunately only seven were usable. I don’t know if the flower stems had been damaged before picking them up, but three days later, they were wilted and sad-looking. I had to fill in with last-minute emergency flowers purchased at Safeway and while the arrangements were still attractive, it was not the look we were hoping for. The price is good but check out what you’re getting for your money. UPDATE: I’m amending my previous review to note that PWF contacted me and offered reimbursement for the wilted flowers. The credit to my account showed up promptly and I am now satisfied. In the future, I’ll add a few extra flowers to my order if I plan to use fragile flowers.

My wedding flowers were beautiful and ready for me when I wanted to pick them up. They were very friendly and helpful. Also it was nice to go through a local business.

First, I have to confess to the world that I don’t get along with flowers and plants very well. I don’t much like them and they definitely don’t like me. So when I go into flower shops and plant stores, I don’t expect to feel welcome. The staff at the Portland Nursery tends to ignore me, hoping I’ll just leave without buying anything. I usually do. I’ve had great experiences at the Plant Peddler on Burnside, but I can always sense a hint of disdain from both the plants and their peddlers. But somehow, the staff at Broadway Floral make me feel like I’m a flower expert. I’ve bought bouquets there for managers, mothers, girlfriends and others, and every time, I leave there feeling like I picked it out and put it together myself. It’s a bright and inviting space, just outside the shadow of the condos next door. Many of their offerings are on display out on the sidewalk, inviting passers-by to trade a few bucks for some much needed fence-mending or just a nice gesture for a loved one. And the staff are just as friendly and personable as I’ve come to expect from businesses in SuGu. It gets four stars because, though they’ve always had everything I’ve needed, they devote a lot of their limited space to little Buddha vases and other kitschy crap I hope I’ll never have a reason to buy. But I keep going back, because they make even a plant hater like me enjoy buying flowers.
