I concur with someone else’s post: if you have a benign mole from your face you would like to have removed for cosmetic reasons, Dr. Elaine Gillespie is a great person to go to. The method she uses will result in a flat, light pink area where the mole was. The pinkness I think fades in time. Anyway I had a good experience with facial mole removal here.

Aram Levendosky (acupuncturist) has been a great practitioner for me and my wife. We highly recommend him. He is very professional and takes the time to listen to our needs and will explain to us why he does the procedures as he does. I appreciate that as patient/​client. Thank you for your help in healing our broken bodies.

At least, that’s how it feels. For years, I believed that the moles on my face were unfortunate, immutable Facts of Life. I’d been told by dermatologists that they could remove them, but the scars would be prominent and unavoidable. They said I should just keep the natural moles and not take on disfiguring scars.
I gathered up the last of my hope and through some Internet research, I discovered a device called the Ellman Surgitron. The name’s cool and the device is amazing. Used by a skilled professional, the results are like Photoshop — for reality. Dr. Gillaspie is one of the few doctors in Portland who lists the device on her website.
Dr. Gillaspie erased my moles.
She showed me her portfolio of successful mole removals, which benefited from her specialized method for wound aftercare. She answered my questions with clarity and confidence and said that she believed I would be happy with the results. Impressed, I made an appointment — and her office was so accommodating for my 9 – 5 schedule!
I went in, got lidocaine shots under each mole (which is by far the most painful part, and it’s not worth a moment’s hesitation), and she expertly «airbrushed» each mole way with the Ellman. I am a notoriously nervous person and her bedside manner was patient and comforting. When I needed a break between shots, she was happy to let me catch my breath before continuing. The procedure took maybe 25 minutes? Frankly, I don’t even remember. It was quick and I was too busy being curious about how I would look when all was said and done.
The former-​moles scabbed immediately after the procedure, but within 5 days, the scabs were gone and I’ve got pink skin underneath. The «scar» is a bit of pinkness that normalizes every day.
I couldn’t be happier. I feel like the people I meet will remember my ideas, not my moles.

I just received a kind, concerned note and a sincere invitation to talk from the Dr’s office in the hopes of learning more about what may have taken place since our visit seemed out of the norm for their level of care. I feel my return call and sharing of details, with their office manager, was welcomed, appreciated, and acted upon. I look forward to my daughter visiting the Dr’s office again for help with a separate medical concern of which has been tertiarily treated by other medical professionals. Finding any business that cares enough to ensure their clients are satisfied seems few and far between these days but I have a a whole new outlook on the Portland Wellness Center.

On the positive side, the staff was very professional, the office is clean and inviting and the location is convenient to the SW. I went there for Chiropractic care and saw Dr. Frederick Rhead once. Dr. Rhead is a nice man and I feel that he truly wants to help people and believes fully in the Lowen System of Chiropractic care, but the treatment did absolutely nothing for me. Didn’t relieve my pain as «normal» Chiropractic adjustments usually do. And at a cost of $ 145 for the treatment, and no insurance billing, I’m left feeling that I did not receive the care that I needed at an expense that is too hard to absorb even with partial insurance reimbursement. Perhaps Dr. Rhead’s methods work for some, and I’m not discouraging others to try it, but it definitely didn’t work for me and I won’t be returning.

If you are looking for an incense laden, posh and exclusive, too-​hipster-​for-​words spa experience — look elsewhere.
But if you are hungering for sincere attention to your body’s well being, this is your place. This holistic health center is staffed with practitioners to attend to your every need.
Personally I head out there for a wonderful massage — as often as I can get away with… I have recommended Mr. Wing to just about everyone I know.
