How has no one written a review about Portland? Born and raised across the country in San Francisco i spent 39 years thinking Portland meant Oregon. Now i know the Oregon city named after this beautiful bayside city surrounded by water on 3 sides just like my hometown was named Portland because Boston lost the coin toss when the decision to name it after an East Coast City was down to its last two choices. Having been a visitor of both Oregon lucked out. Boston may be better known but Portland is beautiful and has a personality remarkably like SF and its sister city. Growing up i had a mental image of what i believed New England should look like, most of it thanks to SF architectures nod to the east coast when building all the victorian and new england style homes. Portland does not disappoint. I have yet to experience a fall but i have been overwhelmed by how beautiful the other seasons have been. I am nowa huge fan of seasons. Portland is very much an art town obvious in all the studios museums and events. From First Fridays, to the crative names on all the businesses, to events in Congress Sq Park Art is truly everywhere here. I am still a novice here. An explorer. But i am falling in love with Portland a little more every day.
