Pizza was mediocre and definitely not worth how much we paid. I ordered a large pepperoni, large veggie, and two side salads and it came to $ 71.00!!! It was ridiculously overpriced. To make it even worse it took almost an hour and a half for them to deliver and I had to call them twice to ask if they were still coming. Last time I will ever order from Pizza Joint and I suggest you pick ANY other pizza place!

I ordered delivery for a 16“inch half cheese, half pepperoni pizza. It toke 1 hour &20 mins. for delivery. It came to $ 21.74. It wasn’t the worst pizza, it was ok. I didn’t think it was as great as alot of people have been saying and it was really over priced. I was in the end disappointed.

The pizza was good, very cheesy and good flavor. The wings were very tiny and not crispy at all, but the flavor was good for a soggy little thing. It was VERY expensive though. I ordered a 16″ pizza and a large order of wings and it came to almost $ 39!!! I can get two pizzas and a salad for that price from other local pizza places.

The delivery was super fast. I ordered a chicken and jalapeño pizza. The ingredients for very fresh and hearty. The pie had a very good ratio of ingredients on it.

I’ve never stepped foot in The Pizza Joint, but I’ve ordered from there plenty. The delivery is fast and friendly. I enjoy their pizza. It’s cheesy and savory, with good crust. It’s not in the upper echelons of the pizza universe, but it’s solid. I usually order pepperoni, and the sliced of meat are small but thick, and there’s plenty of it. I will say that I sometimes get heartburn from this pizza, which is unusual for me. The only other things I’ve ordered from there are salads, which are standard and fine, and wings. The wings are small, fatty, and often a bit soggy. Not great, but they do in a pinch if you’ve got the craving. There’s not many pizza delivery options in South Portland(that I know of), and while it’s flawed, The Pizza Joint at the top of my list. It’s certainly several steps above Dominos.

I eat their pizza because it’s local(South Portland) and they are convenient and very generous with their good selection of toppings. HOWEVER, they can’t cook a pizza!!! If you order it regular it’s raw in the middle and swimming in uncooked pizza sauce — but if you order it crispy so everything is properly cooked the crust is burnt, tastes like cardboard and you lose ½ a pie just cutting out the inedible parts. But, I’ve been burned too many times by their burnt pizza so it’s arriva derci to the Pizza Joint. Time to find a better«joint».

Agree with Fred F. Pizza is thick, gooey, undercooked, barely warm in the center. Our last one literally had raw dough in the center. Have had decent subs there but won’t go back. There are better places to spend your money.

Hands down best pizza in greater Portland. Fresh ingredients, plenty of them, zesty sauce, and tasty hand tossed dough make for a great, though slightly pricey pie. I love me a simple pepperoni and the Pizza Joint does not disappoint.

The pizza is really good. Out of all the places that deliver to my apartment in south portland(that I have tried), this place has been the best. The dough is handmade and crispy. The pizza was great, but it was kinda expensive. The wings that I ordered weren’t great. They tasted like they came from frozen and weren’t sauced prior to serving. I think that buffalo wings should be fried until crispy and tossed in an ample amount of sauce. For the price $ 7.65, I only got 8 wings… and they were ridiculously small and were served without celery. – On a side note… I would like to critique my experience with local pizza places in the area. I don’t understand why pizza is so expensive everywhere I turn. A large, 16″ pizza, is over $ 17 at pizza joint… wtf? This means that if I wanted a 16″ pizza and a large order of wings I would have to pay about $ 30. I just moved up to the area from Philadelphia. The pizza place I used to order from had a special: 1 large, 16″, pizza, 20 buffalo wings with celery and dressing, an order of fries and a 2 L of soda… all for $ 18.50…and they only charged $ 1.25 for delivery… Pizza Joint charges $ 4 for delivery. Someone help me find a pizza place that delivers to my apartment(near Thorton’s in South Portland) that has a decent wing and pizza special that won’t break the bank.

Visiting from Va Beach and we were craving pizza. Asked our host for a pizza delivery recommendation. He said it’s expensive but very good. Definitely both! $ 61.50 for two 20 «pizzas. One cheese and one pepperoni. I think a little less pepperoni would have been better but very good regardless. Lots of pepperoni! The pizzas were so big I had pizza for breakfast and lunch the next day. Very good and worth every penny.

This is my favorite pizza in the Greater Portland area. The ingredients are always super fresh, and the service speedy. Lunch time at Pizza Joint is great– stop by for a huge slice or you can choose from a variety of sandwiches. They bake the bread fresh there and it’s different from your traditional«Maine Italian» sub roll.

Really good pizza and a large number of sandwich choices. The pizza is similar in style to NY pizza, which I like, although some people may not. My one major issue is I just they’d open up their delivery range to my side of the city. A girl can dream!

Great pizza. I’m a New Yorker, born and bred, and this is as close as I’ve found to New York pizza in the Portland area. They have a massive, massive pizza that can feed a family of five easily. Make sure when you order you get a normal size, because they’re big size is HUGE. Five stars, nowhere else in South Portland worth getting pizza from.
