Pitman Restaurant Equipment

For the last two months, I’ve been battling on and off with different restaurant equipment providers to purchase a large fridge and coordinating freezer for our office. When I found someone with the equipment I wanted, they’d charge an arm and a leg for it … or if they didn’t, they’d become completely unresponsive when I asked them to fill out a few pages of paperwork that our headquarters requires. I was at the end of my rope when I finally linked up with Pitman Restaurant Equipment. Danny swiftly and efficiently handled my quote, took my payment by phone and followed up almost instantly with answers to any of my questions that I emailed in. Within a day or two of receiving my payment, our new fridge and freezer was installed by two of the nicest delivery guys I’ve ever met and they took our old equipment out, no problem. I will definitely be shopping here again if we ever need any additional equipment and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any fellow shoppers.

Great service & support. When I bought my major appliances for my food cart in May this year, I was told if there was a problem later on, to give them a call. While cooking for a catering event this past week, my Waring Commercial Convection Oven started acting up. The thermostatic safety sensor began tripping & shutting down the oven.
I called & spoke directly with Waring support, including the engineering department. It was declared a factory defect. Waring referred me to their repairs & service agent in Beaverton. Like I’ve got time for that! I called Pitman and spoke with Tim Moore. He listened while I explained the situation, and informed me he would contact Waring. Just a little while later, he called back, confirmed that it was defective & let me know he had a new replacement in stock waiting for me, just bring the original back and they’d swap it out.
I got thru my catering event work and then brought the original oven back to Pitman. Good to his word, Tim had the replacement waiting and shortly I was on my way back with a new oven. The only thing that would have made this experience better, and would have been delivery included.

I walked in here yesterday and within seconds I was helped. Jason was so friendly and helpful. He printed out every single spec sheet for the equipment that I needed and even went so far as to recommend a different layout, which actually works way better for what I am wanting to do! He didn’t at all try to up-​sell me on anything and I feel like I am getting a great value for what I am paying. I want to open more locations just so that I can continue to support and buy equipment from this place. A+ service!

I’ve worked with Pitmans since I opened a deli in Lincoln City three years ago. By far the best prices and the service is always great. We’re just a small operation but we always get our 10% discount off their already low prices. Last summer when our oven went out (we didn’t get this from Pitmans) Danny had a new one set up and operational the next day. Also, we had a blender go out. When we went to buy a new one, Danny told us to bring the old one in and he’d have it replaced for free because it was on warranty. We didn’t even know it was on warranty. The store isn’t much, but the prices and service earn Pitmans five stars.

I used to shop at Boxer NW a few years ago. Now my go to place is Pitman’s because all I have to do is clean up and upgrade a concession stand. New griddles (one used) a new hot plate and gas fryer with miscellaneous tools, etc.
My experiences with the staff have been the best part of the process. If they don’t have what I need on hand, they order it and drop ship. No extra trips to Portland from Salem. I will continue to shop at Pitman’s and will gladly recommend them to all who are in need of professional restaurant equipment.

Hard to find but worth the effort! They have a wide selection of equipment, ranging from the pans and spats you buy every year to the mixer you only buy once. The used equipment area is large and always full of stuff you didn’t know you needed. As for the staff, they went above and beyond for me. I came looking for a specific part, and after a lot of searching by multiple staff members, they pulled the part off of a floor model. Talk about putting the customer first! Finally, all this with prices about 25% lower than their neighbor! I am a fan!

I own a small café, Pitman is my go to place for addtional items as needed. everything from $ 1000 refrigerator items all the way down to $ 2 tongs and spatulas. I always check with Pitman first.

I volunteer with a lot of non-​profits in town, and we recently planned a community event. We heard about Pitman through the grapevine, and decided to grab a few things. I went in and Tim helped me out, he gave me some great suggestions. He said he recently joined the Pitman team, but he provided such great customer service I thought he had been there for years. What a great place, awesome prices and amazing staff. Thank you Tim you helped make our event really successful on a budget!!!

What a flipping difference from Roses? These guys are chipper and helpful! Like they actually want you to shop there. After standing at the register for 5 minutes with 4 guys all sitting around, we walked out of Roses and walked into Pitmans right next door. The same items are cheaper, the store is super well organized, and the guys are awesome!
Just tagged along with hubby and it kind of changed my life, restaurant equipment joint open to the public.
I had long been in need of a new fresh pepper grinder but still hesitant to drop a bill of a peugeot. Alas, $ 18 gets you a foot long pepper mill at pitmans! If you need anything else for your kitchen, in which you actually cook in and not just display pretty cookware in, why go anywhere else? Will head back when I need to replace my nonstick pans in the very near future!

Looking for a great on great pots, plans and utensils then look not further than Pitman’s. If feel the need for fancy designer kitchen equipment then go leave your paycheck at William Sonoma but if you value your money and realize that the quality of cookware here is the same as the pros use then Pitman’s is your place. If you love to cook you will love this store.

Looking for some durable kitchen utensils without the excessive prices… look no further. This is the best place to find good knives and actually usable tongs. solid and real commercial grade stuff. Not for the for-​show-​only kitchen. If you actually cook, these guys have the stuff to help you really cook.
