Nice neighborhood pub. Low key, good service, nice crowd, awesome burgers. They have some fun weekday events like trivia and good happy hour and specials. Glad to have this place around the corner from my house.

Been in about 6 times in the last 2 months and I feel this place is a neighborhood gem as far as pubs and bars go. I live here, so I care about the businesses within a walk or bike ride away. Roseway & Cully are looking up! Highlights: Good menu, varied, prep’d with quality ingredients. The Hat Trick is stuffed with carving board goodies. The Little League burger is really good, a bit smaller than their regular burgers. Salads are fresh with a good selection of dressings. When was the last time you had a decent green salad at a bar? Look no further. Nice tap list that rotates enough that there are always a few new things to try. Top shelf liquor, including a good line up of local and craft distillers. Prices are reasonable, making for a great value overall. Low key and competent service, including the couple that owns the place. Biggest highlight? Gambling machines are in another room without making it seem like you are a refugee from polite society. Lowlights: maybe parking? It’s all street parking, so when FOTM gets busy, you may be a bit more than a short walk away.

Gotta love Peter’s. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Great place to spend for a happy hour with friends– feels like having a comfy living room away from home. My only hang-up is their lack of vegan food options. In a place like Portland, it’s normally a given and easily doable. I was sad to learn that any ‘veg’ options aside from salad are cross-contaminated with meat(grill, fryer)…no longer making them veg-friendly. :( A simple hot vegan meal is something I long for at Peter’s. If they had a couple things aside from hummus(not everyone likes hummus), I’d always be in for more than just beer. ;)

Great place to watch the duck football game. Back room was a little dark but the food and service was great. Especially enjoyed the coconut lemongrass chicken wings.

Awesome all the way around! Great drinks and very good food. It came out hot and tasted so good. The beer was cold and the drinks were tasty. The atmosphere was fun and kicked back and everyone was super excited to watch football and root for the Oregon Ducks. We had a nice time and loved the chowder and wings. Delicious. Our waitress was funny and gave excellent service as did all of the staff. Thank you Peter’s Bar and Grill!

«Don’t judge a book by it’s cover» Aesthetically, not exactly the Taj Mahal but once you taste the food you’ll Instantly get why I gave them 4 stars. It’s pretty much an average neighborhood bar with slot machines on the east side of the room kinda tucked away. But the food tho… Bangin! I don’t know who the chef/cook is, but she can burn. I had the Humus plate and it was fresh w/lots of garlicky goodness with EVOO and Greek olives finely chopped and oh so gently put on top of the Humus. Perfection! Get This The Eggplant sandwich was perfect too! Server/Bartender was straight up Superhero Status. She did it all… ya I watched her… she even had to play bouncer and toss someone out. Seriously, this place blew me away ! You’ll love it, no doubt.

Just happened by looking for a good burger and wow, the best burger and fries ever. Angus beef and real blue cheese dressing, and the fries perfectly done and you could tell fresh oil was used, no taste of some other food. Tim the owner served us and was very friendly and right on top of everything. We also had a grilled chicken sandwich which was also great, not dry or over cooked. Portions were large and prices good. If ever in the area and want good food, stop at Peters bar and grill, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve passed by this place countless times and never thought much of it. After reading all the positive reviews, I went to try ‘em out. And yeah, I have to echo the other reviews, it’s a great little neighborhood bar with excellent food and nice, friendly staff. Will definitely be back. If you’re in the neighborhood, check ‘em out.

We just moved to NE. This is our go to spot now. Food is great. Drinks are stiff. They have daily specials that are cheap. HH is a pretty good selection and reasonable. Glad we found this little spot!

First time in Portland and went to a lot of bars, and this one was my favorite. The service was amazing and the food was even better. I will be coming here again for sure. If I could give 6 stars I would. I really like this place.

I live on Fremont around places like Fire on the Mountain and Alameda Brewing, Co. and these, among others, don’t compare to what Peter’s has to offer. My boyfriend and I have been in twice and the first time we were surprisingly pleased(as the outside/inside is unimpressive). On our second visit we split a burger, might I add one of the most delicious burgers I’ve had a in a LONG time and a cobb salad. Everything was fresh, creatively put together and bursting with flavor. I forgot to mention the hummus plate we shared, too. WOW. It was quite possibly the most delicious hummus I’ve eaten in Portland — not to exclude the kalamata olives, fermented cucumbers and fried capers that came with it. Just, yes. All around this place is 100% in my book, and that doesn’t come easy. Skip the lines at the other joints in the area and come to Peter’s where the food and staff are top notch!

Great neighborhood joint! Really good food and drink. Burger is solid and their specials are excellent. Tonight’s spicy tomato and farro soup with a Blt was tasty and a bargain at $ 9. Dinner for $ 32.00 including beverages, Thursday date night!

Not only is The staff completely amazing they go over the top to make sure you’re happy with your drinks food and just in general. The owner walks around and says hello to everyone and the service from the rest of the employees is top notch for a cute little dive bar. The food is really good and the burgers are my favorite! Go for taco night it is awesome! Taco Tuesday yay! This is one of our regular hang outs that is always consistent.

What an enjoyable experience. This visit started out with the new owner coming over and waiting on our table. Very personable and willing to talk about his experience as the new owner over the past 1 and ½ years. Very supportive of his Chef and the work she is doing. I am sorry I didn’t get a chance to meet her. He walked us through the menu so we could make decisions on what we wanted to eat. We decided to start with the onion rings. Without a doubt some of the best I have tasted in a city full of top-notch restaurants. Wonderfully breaded and golden fried delivered with a ketchup-sriracha sauce that just enhanced to flavors of the sweet onion rings. I then went with the house-made chicken strips that were marinated to be juicy and tender. I opted for the BBQ sauce and a side of the chile garlic sauce. Both were as delectable as the next. My partner decided on The Star Quarterback hamburger which came with a salad, fries, tater tots or soup. He opted for the soup which was Clam Chowder. Of course, I absconded the soup since I love soups so much. I understand it is a recipe from the Chef that isn’t even written down; only lives in her head. Outstanding soup. Wonderfully made with the flavors melted together for a rich tasting chowder. Simply wonderful. My partner’s hamburger looked wonderfully moist and sloppy — in a good way. Just the way you want your hamburger. Peter’s Bar & Grill has a nice selection of beers and cocktails to enhance your experience here. This is a well hidden city gem you shouldn’t miss. I intend on going back so don’t over crowd this place to where I can’t get in on a Friday evening. Enjoy!

We are not in cold and snowy Boston. The bar is not below street level and I am not a mailman. So I guess this isn’t Cheers, but it sure feels like the type of neighborhood bar that Norm or Cliff would approve of. This really is a place for everyone. The bar is split into two sections, with video poker in the back and a more family-friendly feel in the front. They have lots of TVs throughout, so never fear you sports fans, you won’t miss any of the game here. They have a respectable selection of rotating taps which always include local breweries and great seasonal choices. While the small kitchen located behind the front bar looks like it would produce your typical bar fare, the looks are definitely deceiving. The food here is very good, delicious burgers and salads, wings that rival the most popular Portland wing establishments, daily specials that never disappoint and even a damn good brunch on the weekends. Stop in for a beer, stay for the food.

I feel like most Portland bars are a solid 3 to 4 stars in Portland. To be a solid bar all you need is descent food, a good assortment of beer, a few cocktails, and bartenders that are not dicks. I feel like MOST bars meet this criteria. Peter’s is super solid and feel like it deserves more than a four but I can’t give it a five either. However, Peter’s does stand tall in the Fremont bar scene. I have a few reasons. One, I was crazy impressed with the quality of their food! Their garden burger was amazing(trying to trim off the holiday weight). Two, they show almost all NFL games you could desire, which makes it a cool Sunday spot. You get to see all the assortment of fans, and everyone is pretty chill with one another. Three, the owner seems really cool and clearly cares about the quality of the food and drink he serves. I will keep coming back to this place. I have always been really impressed.

Very cool and committed new owner offers a cozy atmosphere and comfort food. It’s a great place to watch Sunday football. We enjoyed the polenta special and the fried egg sandwhich was just right. They don’t offer espresso, but the coffee was extra good(others may want to consider using their coffee brand.) East Fremont and Cully keeps getting better.

Hands down our absolutely favorite neighborhood haunt! Great food, amazing drinks, and great folks. The owners and long term staff are fabulous. Some of the new staff can be challenged while learning the ropes, but don’t let that sway you… The food and drinks are totally worth any temporary wait. Yu-u-u-u-u-u-um!!!
