Extremely rude owner. I drove out of my way to go to this store because my softcard (prepaid card) app said they accept the card. The owner would not even try to hear what I was saying and could have cared less that soft card lists his store. He should have been sympathetic and apologized rather than look at me as if I were an idiot.

There is no shortage of options in convenience stores. The owners here are great people. I mentioned my brand of beer they didn’t have, and next time I was in, it was on the shelf.
You can’t get up in arms over prices. It is, after all, a convenience store and an independent one at that. Why go to Plaid Pantry or 7 – 11 and line corporate pockets? The couple who works here are just trying to make a living.
They are also super nice. One time, I gave the husband a bunch of little cigarillos. The next time I came in, buying far more than my usual this-​n-​that for a weekend breakfast, they gave me a discount.

This market is almost literally my corner store. They have convenience store things, because that is what they are. They have cookies, and candy, and soda, and chips and I think one time I swear I saw some apples. Don’t quote me on that. Oh, and ice cream. Their whipped cream was more expensive than a normal store, but we were having pumpkin pie and I guess that’s the cost of convenience.
I’d like to point out that the couple that runs the place are really friendly, live right here in the Mt. Scott — Arleta neighborhood, and genuinely want to know what people want to see in the store. To that end, they have a great selection of upscale and local beers, especially in the 22 oz. shelves. I’m just going to keep on coming back and I encourage you to do the same.

I officially now go here instead of 7 – 11! Friendly people and right up the street. Can’t really go wrong!

Its a little store that has a good variety of beer and even lets you get cash back for a small fee. The owners have kind of a weird sense of humor and say the weirdest things sometimes but they are nice.
