Not a whole lot of selection. Would spend to much time in there.

My review is for your band new store at the 3454SE Powell Blvd location. Admittedly, I love a bargain, so I was thrilled to see a city liquidator store opened up in my neighborhood. Today was the day I was going to try out this location. For starters, both ladies working the shop were extremely nice and helpful. We were off to a good start! Second, the grocery prices were really good. I got named brand cookies, baking mixes, frosting, sprinkles, etc, for less that I’d pay at the Dollar Tree, for no name brands. For example: I got an 18 piece double pack of Orbit gum for $.50. I got the Extra dessert gums for $.50 as well. That’s a 1⁄3 of the price you’d pay at the store. I got Hostess packs of cookies for $ 1. I got the fancy organic butternut squash soup mix(regularly $ 3) for $ 1. I got a 28 oz. blueberry Hungry Jack pancake mix for $ 1.25 and a 60 oz Betty Crocker Bisquick baking mix for $ 2.50(regularly $ 5 or $ 6). I got Betty Crocker cans of cream cheese frosting for $ 1 — which never go on sale. I got Nestle Toll House dark chocolate and red valentines day bags of chocolate chips for $ 1.50(unheard of). Needless to say, my grocery cart was full. The other half of the store is random knickknacks(tools, craft supplies, toys etc). I couldn’t tell you if those prices were fantastic, because I didn’t need any of those items. My mom needed a hammer but thought the ones there were regular price. They had NIKE t-shirts for only $ 2.99…but I didn’t need any. Overall, I was really excited about my purchases and will go there from now on, for chips, cookies, canned food, salad dressings etc. They store has a large parking lot so that would never be a problem. The only downside is that they don’t take credit cards, so you must bring cash or your debit card.

Sometimes I walk through PDX Liquidators and find not a thing to buy, but I am always entertained by the quantities of expired spaghetti-in-a-pouch and cleaners with names like Fabuloso! I’ve never found anything here to be too overpriced, and have found more than one item that was cheaper than I could find anywhere else. Sometimes it feels like a cleaner, slightly pricier version of dumpster diving, but it never hurts my wallet.
