Pacific Medical Group Physical Therapy

Of the three other physical therapy offices I’ve been to over the years, this was by far the worst.
Appointments were difficult to come by and I was called on numerous occasions asking if I would be willing to reschedule. The front office staff, while nice, was inappropriate and unprofessional at times, discussing intimate details of their personal lives without me asking.
The gym was very low-​tech and dated, though kept fairly clean.
My biggest gripe would be the level of attention paid to each patient. During my 45 minute sessions, there were two other patients being treated by my therapist, one at the beginning of my session and one at the end, giving me very little one-​on-​one time with the therapist. Occasionally she would look over to correct my form, but often I’d have to track her down and wait for instruction. Even when I was her only patient, she spent most of her time entering notes on her laptop, and when I looked at the screen, they were often other patients’ notes.
After seven months of no progress and very little genuine concern showed by my therapist, I started physical therapy at OHSU. Within two weeks I saw a noticeable improvement in my shoulder, and after six weeks I was nearly 100% improved. At OHSU I receive one-​on-​one treatment for my entire session with a state-​of-​the-​art gym, and the cost is nearly the same.
If PMG Physical Therapy is recommended to you by your doctor, I’d look elsewhere.
