Only Way Cafe

Really nice girls behind the counter. Quick service, and really good food for the price. I got a bagel breakfast sandwich and it had plenty of bacon. My friend got a breakfast burrito and was also very satisfied with it. Coffee is free with breakfast!
It is definitely an odd setting, being in a dealership and all, but I will definitely be back on my next trip to Portland!

I eat here essentially every day. The gals who run the show do an amazing job. They have great lunch specials every day and a great selection of other fast and easy food that is actually healthy. I would highly recommend this café to anyone looking for a new lunch spot! They also have a wonderful selection of breakfast items-​their croissant breakfast sandwiches are to die for.

This is the weirdest place I’ve been in a while, and that’s saying something.
I almost didn’t find it. It is located INSIDE of a Toyota/​Scion car dealership. The dealership occupies 3 of the corners at the intersection of NE Victoria and NE Broadway; the café is in the building on the NW corner of that intersection. Fortunately there are some signs that reassure you that the Only Way Café in fact exists.
When I went inside, I was worried I was going to be swarmed with car salesmen trying to get me into a Toyota TODAY, but they left me alone.
The café has a small counter, and about a dozen tables (mostly high-​top 2 seaters). The menu is small, and consists of basics like breakfast wraps, soups, and sandwiches. I got a turkey sandwich on sourdough, chips, and a Pepsi. Total price: $ 6. I wish the sourdough had been toasted, but other than that it was pretty good.
Service was friendly, and the food didn’t take long.
I can’t really understand why this café exists. Is it for the employees? Are customers supposed to eat there while they are shopping for a car? Do the neighborhood locals frequent it? It is bizarre.
I don’t think anyone would go out of their way to dine there («Hey guys! You wanna meet after work at the car dealership for some soup and sandwiches?»), but who knows?
In any case, I had a pleasant experience, and am bumping it up a star because of the odd and memorable setting.

I eat here all the time. The food is great and the owners are always friendly.
