unimpressed with this place. went it on a sunday and it was completely empty. the ladies were in the back peeking around the corner before greeting us. it almost seemed as if we were annoying them by coming in an hour before closing to get a quick polish change. it was quiet and awkward but they worked fast. Both gals that worked on my friend and i seemed to miss spots on our nails. I hadn’t noticed until i had already left because the lighting is quite dark in there. anyway. i’ve been to better places in the neighborhood. definitely won’t be back to oasis.

Tao and Helen were both so sweet, and my nails look amazing. I was greeted and sat right away and the prices were great. I will definitely be back!

Really nice experience today at Oasis. Friendly greeting and courteous accommodation for a walk-in gel removal and french manicure. Laura was efficient, detail-oriented and kind. The space is large and calming. Would recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant environment and friendly service.

A good manicure is hard to come by in Portland, but the technicians at Oasis are some of the friendliest and on point I’ve had in the neighborhood. I’m a regular customer for my shellac manicures since they’re closer to home, have great prices and they’re less of a headache to get an appointment if I walk-in. This is also the salon that saved me from Aveda School’s amateur hour for manicures. My one gripe is that while they do great work, it can be hard to relax. I’m used to the new age, easy listening music of the salons, but Oasis plays renditions of the worst of popera and standards. There was one time when the rest of the shop was empty that I asked for the music to be turned off because listening to a hotel piano cover of Phantom of the Opera felt like my nails were getting pulled out instead of polished. They’re a great bunch so I’m happy to give them my business, but I’m sad it so often has to be with earbuds shoved in. It’s worth it for the best manicures I’ve ever had. Do try to bring cash so they don’t get hit with the transaction fee of a card.

Cecilia is a sweetheart and she always does an awesome job on my nails! Decent prices for shellac and super cheap eyebrow waxing

I had such a lovely experience today at Oasis! They totally pampered me. I got a French pedicure and shellac manicure. The ladies that pampered me today were kind and gentle, they took their time and made sure everything looked as perfect as possible. So pleased I stopped in today! I got lucky though, there were only two customers in at the time I walked-in(without a appointment) so they were able to serve me quickly and no more customers came in while I was in there. Maybe this is my new nail spot, though! (Spent 50 something total, and tipped both women, they prefer cash so take cash with you!)

I really like this little spot. They do a very good job on my gels and I have even had them do some pinteresty designs and they did it. They were very friendly and accommodating too. They also serve champagne!

I feel bad posting this because the gal who did my nails was really nice, but this place was awful. This is the worst pedicure I’ve ever received. Not only did it take an hour and a half for a pedicure, the nail tech cut my toe with the cuticle clippers and then kept picking at it. I am sincerely hoping it doesn’t get infected. On top of that, when I got home, I noticed some oil on my big toenail so wiped it off — and wiped off all of the polish. I have been to Mani Pedi up the street and will make appointments there from now on.

Booked an eyelash appointment 2 weeks in advance. When I showed up they told me that their lash lady wasn’t there. They didn’t call to let me know nor did they seem to care when they told me. Terrible customer service.

I’ll try to keep this short: made appointments for 6pm, didn’t get out of there till after 8. One of my friends wasn’t seen until 7:20… We were told that 3 people would be no problem, which we thought was true considering there was only 1 person in the whole salon when we arrived… And getting our nails done once a month, we know a manicure takes 45 minutes, tops. I was the first to start(around 6:15, no problem there), for a simple manicure. I was given FREEZING cold(used) water to soak my hands in… My next friend was getting a gel fill, she got started on around 6:30(again, no big deal), but then my 3rd friend didn’t get started till close to 7:30, while in the mean time there was someone just hanging out in the back, eating, watching, doing NOTHING. When I asked multiple times if someone would be coming to the front to help my friend she acted like she didn’t hear me… WHILEWEWEREJUSTINTHEMIDDLEOF A CONVO. Made zero sense. And we made it clear we needed to be out of there ASAP. It was simply rude and uncomfortable. If, at the very least, we could have been told when we arrived that only two people were available? Or when I made the appointment? Or when I asked 3 times about someone helping my friend??? Any time would have been great. But nothing… The whole time these three woman(one of which was just wondering around) were bickering with each other and in some cases being extremely hostile with each other, it was not comfortable. And to top it all off, while the manicures were decent… My friends gel fill and paint change were… AWFUL. Uneven, Polish had bubbles in it, she had glue all over her fingers… She’s going to go somewhere else to get it fixed. We were so fed up by the end of the 2 hours, we didn’t even have the energy to ask for things to be fixed. No apologies were made for the waste of the night, and waste of time. We will never go back again. Ever. Even if we were bribed with free wine and services. EVER.

These guys are great, this is a comfortable place to go and have a nail service as a guy. The deluxe pedicure with the hot stone massage is fantastic.

My friend frequents this place and has recommended it often, so he brought myself and another friend in on a Sunday. Overall good treatment, but very unimpressed with customer service. + The actual services were great. I went all out and did the hot stone massage, which I highly recommend. Now the downsides(And I was tempted to give two stars for this): — I felt slightly tricked into the hot stone massage. Due to language barrier, I was asked what service I wanted and I said something to the nature of «I’m not sure, I’ll decide in a minute,» but I ended up getting the hot stone massage. My friend looks over and says, «Oh you’re getting the hot stone massage,» to which I say«Well, I didn’t order it but apparently I am.» I didn’t stop her and I enjoyed it, but I felt like she took advantage of my confusion. — A group of girls came in to get some manicure treatments. The people who were working on my friend and I kind of abandoned us and left us sitting there for a rather lengthy time without checking on us. — When paying, I was standing there waiting to pay… one of the clerks came around and ignored me while she took care of three people that got in line after me. It was quite rude and I almost walked out without paying. I’m not sure if she was taking care of clients she personally worked on… although, if that is the case, where in the world did my girl go? She just disappeared. Meh… I don’t know if I’ll go back here. Perhaps having a service on a weekend vs. weekday should make expectations a bit lower.

I think a 5 year old could have done a better job painting my nails. All 3 of us went home and immediately fixed our manis/pedis. Horrible. Wouldn’t go if it was free.

Yesterday was my third visit to this shop for a pedicure. I’ve been fortunate enough to have the same lovely young lady take care of my toes. At $ 20 per pedicure I have not found a better value or service in this city.

I’ve only ever had a great experience with this salon. The employee’s give a great pedicure no matter who’s doing it, and all the prices are very reasonable. I live near the area and would only ever go here to get a mani or a pedi.

When you walk in, Oasis Nails & Day Spa will look just like any other nail salon: pedicure chairs, the aroma of lacquer and plenty of magazines. But don’t be fooled by their regular appearance, they go above and beyond to make the experience great. They will immediately offer you something to drink, let you relax while you wait either for an appointment or your pedicure tub to fill up and are as smiley and kind as can be. I have been here a lot and always feel so relaxed and cared for while I’m there. Not to mention, the prices are perfectly affordable. I will be back again and again and again… and I can only hope others visit just as much so they’re around for a long time!

I went there today to celebrate a birthday. My friend was going to pay for all of us — so to avoid my friend having a huge bill, I asked the owner to let me pay for myself and my daughter, they agreed. During the entire visit — they kept trying to sell me more services. I asked for just a spa pedicure with myself and my daughter and that is all we could afford. The technician kept asking me why I did not want a hot stone massage in front of my friends — making me feel awkward. I told her that I did not know that there were any other options… at that time she and her owner proceeded to tell me how all my other friends were getting the hot stone treatment and how they offered it to me when I came in. Then she proceeded to ask me if I wanted a manicure… I, once again, said that we were just having pedicures today… she then proceeded to ask why? I am not sure I have to explain my reasoning behind my purchase decisions. After I made my point very clear that we were just getting pedicures — the technician asked me if my daughter would like to add on a manicure. I did not appreciate her having this conversation in front of my 6 year old daughter. It caused a meltdown. when I said — no – she proceeded to ask the reasoning behind my request. When I poilitely said — no thanks — she kept asking: why not? why not? Once, again, I do not believe that I have to justify. She then proceed to add on the flower to her toes with out my consent. I do not know if they added this to the bill — because they did not honor my request and let me pay for me and my daughter. I will add that they did a good job on my feet. They took their time — which I appreciate. If you go to this nail spa — be firm. Do not let the technican’s question your purchase decisions. Do not be suprised when they are rude and comment about you in another language under their breath to each other!

Oasis, you have a great location –around the block from 23rd ave, so their business ranges from the regulars to the walk-ins, but more then anything it always seemed to be walk-ins ^The Real Deal^ it’s your basic pedicure and manicure spot, they offer free drinks with all services .wine, tea, Mimosa, and water. They do offer a paraffin wax dip with all pedicures and hot towels but those hardly make me happy when I leave. here’s what gets me upset every time: The add-on’s] for $ 5 more you can get a longer massage — but lets be honest, they do not massage, instead they gently glide their lotion drenched hands up and down your leg, if anything I get annoyed, its not worth the $ 5 up sale, its not a massage, its the same motion you use to apply lotion yourself. and speaking of up sales, ENOUGH! I didn’t come in for a eyebrow wax and I am certainly not going to let you do my whoo-ha either! I feel I can never come in for a single service without feeling like I owe them more… The consistency on their services is all over the place: how they apply the shellac manicures kills me, half the time it has wound up all over my cuticles and guess what that leads to, it leads to lifting at the cuticle. What is included in the basic pedicure– well who knows one visit, I get my calluses removed, the next they don’t touch them, same goes for my cuticles, there is no structure. & the honesty of some of the workers– I will let you pull my chain but I don’t like being told«I do good job for you, I like you» Listen here sista, you are not doing a good job and I will not tip you any more then I plan to, Do Not lie and say you are spending extra time on me, it’s a planned guilt trip — some how I have heard this line more than once while at Oasis and it is just annoying if anything. and guess what I have kept going back, in hopes that it will get better or that the person I made my appointment with will actually do my nails that one time, or that the appointment time I made will be at that scheduled appointment time. as of recently I have given up with Oasis, I have found a consistently good shellac manicure spot and I plan to never be back because it’s conveniently located.

Oasis only charges $ 20 for a pedi! This is fantastic pricing. For that price you get a clean location, tons of trashy(ie: People, Glamour, Cosmo) magazine options to browse, wine or soft drinks to sip on, and very comfortable massage chairs. They get busy and I agree with other reviewers that sometimes this means a wait. Use common sense. If you walk in and a bunch of the chairs are filled with people just set up a time to come back, even if it is in 30 mins. It is easy to see how many people they have on the floor working and if it looks busy it will probably take a bit of time. Once you get in the chair things move at a normal pace. I felt like they did a great job and my toes looked great. Obviously there are other nicer places to get a pedi in Portland but for $ 20 this place is a great deal. Just don’t be in a rush.

I religiously went here when it first opened up 4 years ago and I lived in the neighborhood. I don’t go back that often now that I live in Vancouver but I decided to go today to get a pedicure. It was very easy to get in. I did not have to wait for a technician at all. I unfortunately got the pleasure of having the only male in the entire salon do my pedicure. Normally I wouldn’t care but this guy had no clue what he was doing. I asked for a French Pedicure and he seriously took about 25 minutes trying to get the polish right. It was so bad that one of the other techs stepped in and sped up the process by finishing it up. I was up and out in about 3 minutes after that. I wish she would have just done the pedicure because it would have saved me about 30 minutes. I used to love this place and may try it again if I can have a different tech.
