Yes, I was blown off today, by Northwest Diamonds. I review on Unilocal when I am really satisfied or extremely disappointed… there’s no in-​between with me. Having been in sales for 25 years and now owning my own business, I have no tolerance for schlock. I’d made an appointment to sell 2 diamond rings that I had inherited. Initially making that appointment for a Friday that ended up not working, I called back to reschedule for 2:00 on Monday. Wesley… they barely announce the business name when they answer… didn’t ask for my number or name and as the customer, I thought that he was the owner and that was the way his business was done. Word was bond.
Monday traffic on Highway 26 at 1:30 was abysmal due to an accident. At 1:50 I asked my sister to call the store to let him know that we were running 10 minutes late. 10 MINUTES… not an hour, 10 MINUTES. I heard her answering odd questions and asked for the phone. The person at the other end, was not the man I had made the appointment with. And he was upset because he said he had to leave at 2:30 for an outside appointment. I told him, that we were 10 minutes away and would be there shortly. Imagine my surprise when minutes later my phone rang, only to have the guy with which I had originally made the appointment, on the phone making up some cock and bull story that his tooth had blown up and he had left 20 minutes earlier to go to the dentist… Yeah, right… I suspect that he’s/they’ve had a lot of dentist appointments. When I questioned his professionalism by not letting me know, he hung up on me. Wesley: Give me your Dentist’s name and I’ll remove this posting. Oh, btw the guy with the accent left too… the store was closed… shut… no more than 2 minutes later when we arrived.
So, if your diamonds are large or on the huge side… they may be more inclined to honor your appointment. I wouldn’t know, mine were ½ carat and under… and the owner (s) were no-​shows.

Wady is fantastic! Seriously, great. A HUGE selection of stones and he’s very happy to work within any budget. With his competitive pricing I was able to get a much nicer diamond for the money than I was initially planning on. His hours are limited but he’s more than happy to accommodate any schedule and was happy to meet us at his shop on a Saturday. I’m already planning to have him make my earrings next year. Wady is the real deal, honest, responsive and does fantastic work to boot. It’s worth checking his prices before you go elsewhere, he makes great pieces with amazing stones for much less than most of the jewelry stores we went to. I can’t say enough good things.
