As a girl who has oft-​dreamed of opening a craft cooperative, this place makes me sad. The space is way too big, most crafts are laid out in completely unimaginative ways, the options are limited at best, the hours are «barely open», and the women I spoke to didn’t seem very interested in hearing my suggestions for trying to reach a wider audience with some social networking. Brilliant.
I asked about consigning there. Unless I misunderstood her, it’s $ 20/​month rent and they give you 30% of sales. Huh? Don’t most places give you 40 or 50% and not charge rent? There are some lovely things there — don’t get me wrong, but I wouldn’t want my stuff sold there — and that’s sad. And if I ever do open up a craft cooperative and it looks like that — shoot me.
