Nicky USA is a wholesale meat purveyor with a strict $ 125 minimum as of this writing early 2015 for consumer dock sales. There is no showroom or store, they are a wholesale warehouse. They serve retail customers as a courtesy, thanks! But they have unique meats perfect for a large person special event or storing in your freezer. Go to their website. Download their current stocklist. Telephone your order ahead with 2 hour notice. They are not open late weekdays. They work through many retail stores in Portland. They could order for you with their markup, but no minimums. Do not abuse Nicky’s offer to serve retail customers, because they will discontinue it and you will be responsible. Nicky is a local business that paid its dues and delighted its restaurant and grocery customers, connecting the with farms near and far. They do a cool Fall food festival, past years at Timberline Lodge. We support them and laud them for supporting retail customers that respect the opportunity!

So I WAS a BIG fan of Nicky’s, buying most of my meats from them for almost 9 years NINEYEARS!!!. From the time I started using them till I closed my business a few months back. I have always had a small balance with them here and there and I’ve always paid either that day or the next time I came in to buy more product. So because of certain circumstances(landlord issues) I had to move out of my space. I had informed everyone months before including them. They never had a problem with me. I thought after NINEYEARS of giving most of my business to them I had built a great rapport with the owners and staff. I felt like I was part of the family in a way. Anyway 3 months later I open a new place. Expecting to do business as usual I walked in and made a small order which came to about $ 65. When I told them to just put it on my account because I didn’t have any money with me. She flipped her head and made this big sigh like I was bothering her and said I needed to fill out a credit app. and get it approved and in the meantime I had to pay for the goods now. When I asked to talk with the owners wife, the wife backed her employee and told me I had to come up with a lousy 65 bucks because of the economy and how they changed their policy and I couldn’t take it unless I paid for it. That’s when I said I’ve done business with you for NINEYEARS and your going to throw it all away on 65 dollars. She just looked at me and I said fine. A couple of days later I made a few phone calls to the owner and left several messages but he never bothered to handle the situation. The worst part about all of this is I thought we were friends. My bad! Now I buy all my food from SP Meats with no problems.
