Music Art Resource Collective MARC

Cool group that is dedicated to providing FREE support for artists, as well as art therapy. I went to the Flesh Art benefit. Is it gauche of me to admit I didn’t really «get» all of it? The two funeral thing? Didn’t get it. The guy wrapped in words with his pants split seam to seam and his jangly bits dancing down the catwalk? Didn’t get that either. I mean, I got the words and music part, just not the jangly bits. I mean, I got that he HAS jangly bits, I’m just not sure why I saw them. And a certain somebody promised me there would be artful covering of body parts, and let me tell you, the only thing covering some of those body parts was paint, and in one case, not even that! Whooeee!
I think this group has a lot of potential to do good in the universe. They have a bit to learn about marketing, and starting on time, and making events more user friendly, like with less deafening music and better seating/​lighting. Seriously, I’m old, I can barely hear as is, don’t blast the rest of my stereocilia out of my head.
Anyway, we enjoyed the show! Had it started on time we could have hung out for the talk with the artists after intermission, and actually learned more so we could better appreciate the art. However, dog can only be crated for so long, so off we went to let the dog out!
I would go to more of the events by this group and donate to their cause. I hope they can tighten things and come across as more professional, because they are seriously talented and have plans to do great things.
