I did quite a bit of shopping around before framing a rather large piece of artwork. I knew it would be expensive because of the size, but the first price I got(from Michael’s!!!) was $ 1200!!! Shocking! After consulting several other shops I came to Moreland. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted but they were able to steer me to a less-expensive yet equally beautiful molding. They did an exquisite job(shadow box, float) for about 1⁄5 of that original quote. For the service and quality you get, they are such an excellent value. I won’t go anywhere else!

What a find! Wonderful, friendly owners who do excellent work with very reasonable prices. I am excited to do more business with them soon.

This place is a gem and is getting one of my rare five star reviews. Everything about this shop I love(except for parking, but combine it with a store or bank trip and its fine). It’s close to my house and locally owned which is awesome. But that’s not why they stand out, that’s not why they’ll get my business again. There are a ton of locally owned shops in portland who couldn’t give a hang about me, just that I support them. There is something really cool about only stopping in once a month and having them know your name. THEYKNOWMYNAME! If they happen to read Unilocal they will know exactly who wrote this review. It shows that they care and my business is wanted and appreciated. But even that wouldn’t keep my customer loyalty exclusive, I’m fickle and on a budget. Wanna know their secret? Wanna know why I’ll come back time and again? They offer competitive prices and lay away. LAYAWAY! That’s right, lay away isn’t just for Kmart shoppers anymore! I don’t have to scramble to come up with a couple hundred for a frame job that still cost less than a job I had done at Beards on a smaller piece. My little student budget wont be stretched to the point of breaking. Art is expensive, framing is expensive. There is no way to avoid that; they make it easier to manage though.
