I went here at 8:15 on 9⁄242015. I told the woman I wanted to download and try a specific app to make sure the multi-touch screen was up to par. She says«fine go ahead» I download the app, went to run it and it wants permissions for the firewall. She — and her partner tell me they can’t give the permissions. I ask why she told me to go ahead and download it if I can’t run it she says«That’s our security». I tell her she wasted my time if I was not going to be allowed to run the app I download and she immediately says«this conversation is over» refused to give me her name as did the partner. I am not a huge Apple fan — I have an iPad for a specific job and it does it well, but it doesn’t make me want more Apple things. However, when i walk into an Apple store I am greeted by eager knowledgeable people. The Microsoft store staff would be better off at Walmart. This is now the 3rd time I have had issues with Microsoft stores — the other two times were downtown. I was totally ignored for 30 minutes tryig to get a surface working with an external monitor. Another time I asked if they had any way of interfacing with FIrewire I was told«It has WIndows Defender». This however was the first time I was met with such hostility. Really bad news. I am a developer for a MIcrosoft Shop, I don’t need to buy Windows(no-one does now lol) with this total lack of care about the store staff I certainly will not be buying Microsoft branded hardware.

I called ahead to the Washington square mall Microsoft store and was told that a Mac book air in working condition would absolutely be worth $ 650 trade in value for a surface pro 3. They told me now it’s only worth $ 187, then proceeded to become rude with me when I told them the names of the employees that gave me the quote. Now I understand why people like Apple better, as the Apple store has was better customer service.

Great Service, super happy with my Pro. I wish there was a full store, the kiosk setting is slightly annoying, but the service made up for it.

Bad service/rude and don’t know rules to promotions/contests that they sponsor! Disappointment. Avoid this location!

The staff at the Microsoft store are very knowledgeable and friendly. The store sells the Microsoft Surface as well as computers from other manufacturers(Dell, Asus), phones, and Xbox. The Surface Pro is THE best Hybrid computer out there, and the staff will show you how to use it and its nice features. My husband and I are pc geeks and the person we talked to was able to answer all of our questions. As for computers from other manufacturers, such as the Venue Pro, and Asus Transformer, the Microsoft Store does a good job showcasing *functional* machines that actually work(unlike at Best Buy where these same machines are always crashed or you can’t log in and try them). The Windows phones are also showcased here. This is a hot spot at the Washington Square mall especially with the XBox gaming, and if you are interested in buying the Windows phones, the Sprint and AT&T stores are located conveniently close by.

They were very knowledgeable about the Microsoft surface at this location. Very helpful and friendly. I had questions about doing illustration on the surface and they showed me two different drawing applications that were presently available as well as told me about details that pertain to drawing on the pro version which was coming soon.
