A facility with the power to educate our youth, with the organizational skills of a five year old. Urge all to seek better program elsewhere.
This facility has failed to respond in an orderly and timely fashion to both applications and inquiries for my kids to attend. The first application attempt happened two years ago for my son when he was four years old. We sent in our application with ample time to respond and included everything requested by one of the staff who barely spoke English. We didnt receive our first response until six months AFTER the cut off date, requesting a proof of income. The second request was just as horrible as the first. We called the number listed on the website in hopes that someone who spoke proper English could give us some info. We have successfully reached our third month of waiting. Knowing the time frame it takes to process an application, I’m certain my daughter’s application wouldnt process until she was in Kindergarten two years from now.
The staff is a complete joke. A friend of my wife sent their daughter here and she explained just how disappointed she was with the lack of a learning program. Her daughter was placed here to prepare for Kindergarten and still walked into her Kindergarten class unprepared. «This is essentially a daycare, not a school.» Along with the staff’s incompetence to their own «business», there is zero parking to use. You’re left with parking on 148^th, which isn’t bad if people knew how to merge, or taking up tenant parking spaces in a parking lot requiring permits.
The teaching structure is flawed and unsatisfactory. The staff is neither invested in their «students» nor with the thought of improving their relationship with the community. The timeliness of due process is so bad you may as well try signing up your child at their first birthday in order to get them in before they start schooling. On behalf of my own experiences trying to prepare my kids for school, and of my friends who have gone through this program and regretted it afterwards, find a reputable program elsewhere.
