Quaint neighborhood bar. Friendliness goes a long way. It’s less like a restaurant and more like a dive bar that serves food. The food is actually worth going for alone because it’s reasonable and they serve breakfast. They have karaōke and lottery machines. There’s a smoking patio and a wrap around bar inside.

This place rocks. Its a super chill spot that keeps me coming in time after time again. I stop in for a drink or two on my way home several times a week. They have a Hawaiian band that plays every Thursday. Lynndsy and Angie are quite the dynamic duo! Whenever they work together, it’s quite a comedy routine. The menu is good. Portion size is huge and the drinks are nice and strong. Find a group of 4 or more and ask Lynndsy to make Jaeger bombs all at the same time! It’s worth it and tip her well if she does it!

It’s a locals type bar. If you don’t frequent River Rd. or know someone who lives near, you will probably never go here. They do have a good beer selection. They do have good food. But fact of the matter is, it isn’t a destination point. I however, have never had a bad time here, and a few trips with a local, and you will start to feel like a local as well, the staff and patrons are JUSTTHATFRIENDLY. The bartenders are a take«no crap but can dish out whatever banter you are willing to take» kind of group of gals and if you request something from the kitchen that is not typical from the menu, like a «McQueen’s Burger with fries on it, not on the side» The guy will remember you because he wants to be sure you lived through eating the whole thing. I like the atmosphere. You can tell the character is in the people.

The food is allways hot fresh and good. Service is prompt and comes with a smile. I love this treasure in oak grove. Try the homemade soups. They have a great beer selection and they’re cold.

THISPLACEISMYJAMLEMMETELL U Y OK… Happy hour drinks are $ 2(regular $ 3) and by drinks like A TALLWELLDRINKANDTHEYDONTSKIMPONTHATWHICH I TRULYAPPRECIATE. they have weird balls that taste really good and no I won’t elaborate just order something with the word balls in it and if you hate them give them 2 me If you are young ~like myself~ you will receive really awesome compliments. Some woman said I am totes goth and I felt my cold black heart warm up for a second. And it’s a minute from my house so if I don’t wanna be a sloth I could walk up a hill but i would rather NOT do that, but I can just happily roll down drunk down the hill at 2am cuz so what who cares.

Foods good drinks good if you can get the waitress to deliver either one, watch your change cause the girls like to short change a lot or walk off with your money and never return. Don’t use fowl language or be under the age of 40 or they will ignore you, cut you off or refuse you service been in over a dozen times due to the fact my family frequents the place and every time I stop in to say hello I get the worse service ever I recommend this place to no one ever…

Local bar. Be very cautious when ordering drinks. They are about double the alcohol anywhere else. Many stories of people getting sick.

The food is always delicious, and service is great. The place never gets too crazy, and has an older clientele base. Very down home and friendly. Their daily specials are prepared by a real chef, and never fail to please. Very affordable. Try their breakfast creations!

Went karaokeing with the bestie here. Strong drinks, but service was a bit abrupt(translate: rude) for me, particularly since we originally went to pick someone up there who had bought practically everyone a drink at some point during the day. Solid local dive overall.

It’s small, dark, and has an air of «authenticity» hearkening back to the days before the indoor smoking ban. The handful of tables were occupied by a variety of groups, so we found ourselves amongst an array of colorful caricatures. With maybe only 20 patrons in total, it felt like any more would start to get crowded but as it was everyone had a place to sit among the modestly kitschy English-themed/bookshop décor. I had a glass of beer while my wife opted for a white wine. The bartender then went back to visually inspecting each and every clean glass for spots before returning it to the back bar. Her demeanor was equal parts casual and familiar, which made us feel like regulars on our first first. Food is fantastic. Everything seemed very fresh. The burger and fries are HUGE. They also have a nice beer selection. It’s definitely not the kind of place that would appeal to a wide range of bar-goers, but it’s another one of those little Post Alley finds that keeps Portland in general interesting.

First visit, it’s not far from home so decided to try it for lunch. Had what they called a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, not very good. Bun/roll probably came from a nearby grocery store, small amount of mostly tasteless meat. Didn’t see any cheese or cream cheese on the sandwich. Small greasy fries. In my opinion it was typical low end bar food that was over priced. Will not return to this restaurant.

Our local bar. They have good drinks, cold beer and decent food. The staff is very nice and friendly. If your looking for place to grab a drink and some bar food with some friends this place will work. If your looking for something fancy this might not be your place.

A cool off-the-main drag neighborhood pub. The food and the drinks are cheap, abundant, and to this day I can detect not even a whiff of too-cool for school hoity-toity. For years I have found this place to be inviting to strangers and regulars alike. Solid pick for the entire Milwaukie/Gladstone/OC area.

The food is regular pub food but with LOTS of love! The staff is friendly and helpful. Great place for the locals to gather and have a few beers. This place is for the older crowd and there seems to never be any drama like at most bars in the area.

Hot or miss. Hit: Staff is friendly and make you feel like you’ve been coming here for years. Drinks are good and reasonably priced. Food is tasty and cheap. Miss: Service can be pretty damn slow. Took an hour to get breakfast after we were seated. Don’t know if it’s like this for breakfast every weekend, but I’ll do some investigating to find out before I try breakfast here again. Great place for booze and beers with bros, just maybe not for breakfast.

We seriously go every monday for 1.75 taco trio. It is great and they have amazing happy hour prices, 2.25 for all well and domestic draft beers. I smash my tacos all together and make a yummy taco salad. My boyfriend and I eat and get tipsy for under 12 bucks every week. Gotta love the pub and the older crowd. Its never very busy or loud, though the smoke drafting in from open doors can get pretty annoying. Great food, great service, great prices. check it out!
