Went in last night for some happy hour food and drinks. My only complaint was we ordered fries, tots, and the pizza bread and it all came at once. Wish the items would’ve been delivered when ready, there was only one other person in the restaurant. *If I wanted lukewarm fries and tots I’ve got any fast food restaurant for that.

Classic McMenamins flavors with a sweet, English pub vibe. The pace is fast and slow all at once. Loud whispers just barely tune out the jazzy riffs and Jimi Hendrix in the background. It’s a short walk from my house and that makes me so happy! I know my review is «shorter than most», Unilocal, but there isn’t much to say. There are good things happening here!

4 star joint, 5 star experience. It’s a «regulars» type place that welcomes you as regular if you’ve never been there before. Nothing fancy or outstanding about the service. But you can tell the people work hard to provide you what you need and in a timely manner. I always feel better after leaving and I always know what I’ll get: Good beer, good food, good vibes. And if you go, don’t forget to get the Cajun tots. Get the tots.

This is the smallest and mellowist of all McMenamin’s I’ve been to but it was nice and cozy. As always, Awesome beer selection. I got to try a wet/fresh hop for the first time. It was delicious. We just wanted some small bites so I asked what soups they had. The waitress raved about the tomato soup. When it was time to order they were out and I got the mushroom soup. Sadly had to send it back to be reheated but after that it was actually still tasty. I probably shouldn’t give it four stars but McMenamins’ are pretty awesome, and so was my company, so I’m feeling pretty giving.

What a cool little Pub! I am a sucker for McMenamins but this one is a great place to grab some happy hour with close friends or grab a drink with a date. It’s in a sweet little family neighborhood area and the ideal place for a place for good catch up conversations with old friends. When you’re there try their special sweet potato fries. They are a must get while you’re in. I will for sure be back in the near future.

What is wrong with this place? It took two hours to get our meal served tonight. Shame on management that they are so short staffed both in the kitchen and the wait staff that customers have to wait this long. We arrived at 6:30 pm and were served our dinner at 8:30. We felt bad for the poor waitress who was incredibly cheerful. But we won’t be coming back ever again.

Came into town s couple of weeks ago to visit family. My cousin and her husband frequent this place often. They took us here for lunch along with 2 other members of our family and our baby. My cousin asked for some substitutions for her salad and was given a hard time. The female waitress said it would take and extra 45 minutes for all our food because of a couple simple exceptions to a salad… Really? My husband being a chef in NYC was really turned off by the whole encounter. The first time that we would have been treated better in NY than we were in PDX. If you provide a service that’s what you do! Would never go again and hope my family never gives them a dime again after going to this establishment for years…

Best veggie burger I’ve ever had. I’ve also recently discovered the hummus plate and it is fantastic. Prices are reasonable, and they never skimp on quality!

Dreamy. Fulton is a snug pub in front and a pleasant patio café in the back. They have a big, caged firepit, too. Service was friendly and spot-on; food was the usual good McMenamin’s fare(Caesar Wrap w/fries for me, this time, and an unexpectedly tasty iced tea!). If not for my McM’s passport, I might never have visited Fulton Pub. I’m glad I did.

This is by far one of the best McMenamins. I love it for it’s neighborhood feel and the food here is better than most of their other properties. The staff really take good care of you and make you feel at home. The tuna sandwich is one of the best things on the menu. The burgers are pretty darn good too. I’m vegetarian so I get the veggie burger and it’s tasty. I like the cozy atmosphere and the backyard patio is delightful. I’m so happy that this is in my hood so I can walk or bike instead of having to jump in the car. It’s a great addition to the John’s Landing neighborhood.

The Fulton Pub is a cute mini McMenamin’s. The unique decorations and decent sized patio are familiar McMenamin’s staples. The bar is nice looking but the interior is on the smaller side. We just popped in for some tots, a couple pints and a stamp. Was anticipating being able to try the new seasonal black cherry cider but they’re still serving the pomegranate version. Service was fast and friendly.

One of my favorite Mcmenamins to grab a beer at. Its small, quaint, and really has that local pub feel that makes you feel like you’re always with friends. The staff at this location is amazing! I would venture to say as good as it gets. The last time we went was to get stamps for friends and family night/specialty beer taster, for our Mcmenamins passports. We sat at the bar, and Carole took great care of us. It is quite a small space, and friends and family nights can get pretty busy, this night was no different. The place was packed, and it was happy hour. We got our drinks, and food super fast, and Carole continued to check on us throughout the night, and even got to chat with us for a bit. Everything was just fantastic. I cannot stress enough how great the service is here. Huge fan of Fulton Pub & Brewery.

Ordered a chicken sandwich, and was served raw chicken. It was dark, so I didn’t know until I took a bite out of it. Very nasty. They did sub it out, but in all honesty, I only trusted a green salad. Great place for a drink, bad place for food. Follow Up… The manger reached out to me through Unilocal, and apologized for the incident. I’ll be going back soon, and posting an updated review. I definitely appreciate the attentiveness.

I come here to enjoy the fire on the back patio. Pity winter is too short to really enjoy it and when it’s not chilly enough for a fire, it’s often pouring. I’d come more if the weather allowed. Otherwise it’s an alright place. Food is just alright, not great, and drinks are pretty standard. I don’t personally find the booths very comfortable but I like the décor and cozy feeling of the place when forced to be inside. Nice staff which makes up for most of the shortcomings the place has. Also, check out the bathroom, it’s super weird.

Last night was our first time in to Fulton’s since moving to the neighborhood and I really enjoyed it. I wish I hadn’t avoided it for so long based upon how quiet it looks. It’s a great little pub with a sweet bartender/waitress and a great happy hour menu. I’m a big fan of ciders and while the blackberry cider they had on tap is less traditional and pretty sweet I really enjoyed it(it would be the perfect cider half for a snake bite)

I felt that my tip didn’t describe this place fairly enough and hope my review will be seen by the owners so they can correct the problem. It took 2 hours from the time we sat down until we left to get 2 burgers and a steak wrap. The waitress advised us that there were 2 large tables and to expect a 30 minute wait for our food. The waitress was very professional and it’s not her fault. It’s the owner’s fault. A complimentary beer would have been nice but never offered. I did hear apologies got to all the tables though. Here’s where the problem lies. Walking in the front door you see a traditional pub and bar. When walking outside look behind you. That tiny area is the kitchen. Yes, that is really the kitchen. I’ve seen food trucks with bigger kitchens. It’s impossible for a kitchen that small to produce food in a timely manner for as many seats as they have inside and out. At one point in time when the menu consisted of shepherd’s pie and soups it was probably enough. But with a menu as extensive as this with so many cooked to order items there is no way the kitchen can handle it. Time to revise the menu and rethink the business plan or expand the kitchen. Drinking here… yes. Eating here… no.

I genuinely enjoy this little pub. It is an awesome place to hang out after work or a day on the river. Ask them to show you back to the beer garden, a cozy escape from the busy macadam traffic. My fiancé and I frequent the place as often as the budget allows. Try the dessert. The manager is pretty freakin awesome. She knows her stuff, I am always impressed with her recommendations. Whether it is adding bacon to the timber dog or trying the marionberry crumble. She has always been rock solid. Keep it up!

This is my favorite location! It’s so intimate and cozy. The service is always superb and the food quality is consistent. Tonight I ordered a tuna salad sandwich(major nom nom!!! SOO good) and my husband got the cowboy wrap, he really liked it, tots and fries for sides, those are always good. Hubby got his classic Rubinator and I got a half-pint of Unfrozen Caveman Porter, chocolately goodness! The best thing? I now live super close to this location! Woot woot!

I have been going to the Fulton Pub for years… about twenty if I am not mistaken. Like every other McMenamins, they have a nice selection of McMenamin ales and pub food. What makes this one stand out is that it is in a funky little location in SW Portland, right in the neighborhood. The décor is Portland funky(by which I mean a sincere compliment) which makes it a real treat. The only reason I did not give five stars is that the menu is a little limited, compared to the other pubs in the chain and because it can be a little dark. If you are wanting a burger and a beer, you cannot go wrong!
