I was lucky enough to order the Tasajo(shredded beef with green olives!) when they were still located on NW19th. Sad that I found out about them the last day their cart was open but I have followed them to their new location at: 7100SW Hampton, Suite 130 in Tigard(across from Kaiser Dental). They have grab-n-go sandwiches and amazing salads if you don’t have time to wait for your food to be made. They still have all the items that were on their cart menu but today I grabbed the Chipotle Chicken Salad with mango dressing and pico de gallo tropical & black beans. It’s a good thing I don’t live to close to Maria Latina because I would probably stop cooking! This food is made with love and care. I would have never expected to find it such high quality food at such a good price and in an office complex in Tigard. You should visit them! You won’t be disappointed. (Oh, and rumor has it they will reopen the cart in NW Portland again soon after the restaurant has been open for a bit…)

I had a «custom» breakfast burrito. Bacon, sausage, egg, green salsa, pico de gallo, black beans, green and red bell peppers, mushrooms and cheese. Everything suggested soundwd wonderful, so I said YES! The flavors were excellent, it was the perfect size, and the service was friendly and prompt! Will definitely be going back for more!

They were already out of what I wanted to order by 1:30 so that’s only reason for not 5 stars, because the food was awesome and service was great. Got the ensalda pollo thing and the fried plantains were perfection! I’ll be back indeed.

Generous portions, bright salads and delicious. The Tasajo is one of my favorite dishes in town(although I think technically it is more of a Ropa Viejo?). I recently paid 2.5x as much in a Seattle restaurant for a similar dish, and this one was much better. They also have a frequent flyer card. Side note: I really wish the NW food cart Pod would participate in the GO Box service.

A great lunch cart that I definitely recommend! They are super friendly, and clearly know what they are doing when it comes to authentic cuisine. They have great fried plantains w/amazing marinated meats… and GF! Yay! They cater too!

Was recommended by a doctor near by to go check out the place. My wife and I shared a two of the small plates the plantains and the corn meal one. I terrible at remembering names of things. The plantains we tried with the shredded beef and it was incredible. Tender shredded beef in a sauce that was to die for. The corn meal tostada type thing we tried the shredded chicken. It was just a well seasoned white meat chicken with hint of pepper and citrus. Both dishes came with and incredible green salsa and a pico di giao salsa with avocado mixed into it. We also split the salad with the grilled chicken. The chicken was amazing with spices, garlic and lime flavors. Grilled to perfection it topped the baby greens with a light vinaigrette and more of the pico/avocado salsa. I will definitely go back there since they do a shredded pork on Tuesdays and Thursdays that sound incredible. The guys running the cart were also super friendly and let us sample a thing or two to help make the choices easier. Just an all around great experience and if it was not a food cart you would easily be paying twice the price for the food and generous portions.
