Quaint find. Very european feel, small and perfect for a quiet conversation over coffee or an aperatif. This is a find in the Mississippi area. No more big box coffee houses for me!

Locale has fantastic coffee and baked goods! They serve cocktails and some light food (like quiches), too, but we haven’t tried those yet. The atmosphere is great as well, very light and minimal décor, calm. Friendly, informative, prompt service, too. Wonderful!

I’ve hit the jackpot with this coffee shop! The barista/​cashier/​server was kind of shy but was super sweet and welcoming! I ordered an iced coffee and a cookie, both were amazing. The interior is quite small but still very comfortable. They are one of the only coffee shops in the area that are open late and it’s only three minutes away from PCC! So fellow PCC colleagues come and give this place a «shot»! I loved everything about this place and I will definently be coming back!

Cute hole in the wall coffee/​beer lounge. Because it is so small, the drink selection is not huge and no drip coffee after 6(?) however the manager always remembers my fiancé and I, and makes great small talk.

Lovely little place. Stopped by a couple times for a glass of wine and the most delicious sour beer. Their musical taste is spot on, the menu is small but as far as beer and wine goes, there’s enough for everyone. I haven’t tried the coffee or food yet though. They have wifi too in case you want to do some work.

The coffee is dynamite, the food is fresh and tasty, and the staff are attentive and nice.
Would 100% recommend you stop in for a cuppa (coffee, wine, beer, or vermouth; your choice!). Locale is a great addition to Mississippi Ave and neighborhood.

I’ve had the vegetarian quiche and an Americano on my first visit. The quiche was delicious and the Americano aromatic. Next I had hot chocolate and cookies on my second visit. On the third visit, I tried the winter ale. Ummm! The staff has been amazing and friendly each time. It’s a great small space with large personality.

Locale is a cozy, warm spot — perfect on an overcast Portland day. I had a great macchiato, and will be back for a vermouth flight. These guys know their craft well, and is worth the trip if you appreciate a good beverage.

How this place will survive I don’t know. Stopped for coffee on the way to work: largest latte is 12 oz. no skim milk and $ 4.50. The pastry tray had a couple of cookies, a stale dried out piece of what looked like pound cake, three anemic apples and maybe that was an orange. The coffee was good but how you can over price a drink between Albina Press and Fresh Pot with difficult parking is a recipe for failure.

Absolutely fantastic place! The espressos I have gotten have all been absolutely perfect! Really low key, beautiful build out, perfect location as Mississippi was lacking decent coffee before Locale. Could not be more happy that this place arrived!

I love cafes and coffee shops, and Locale is turning into one of my favorites. The café has an inviting yet calm vibe, and is a great place to catch up with friends, get a bite to eat, or simply enjoy one of their delicious cappuccinos.
At first I was skeptical of a coffee shop that offers table service, but their service is really great, and all the staff are extremely friendly and fun to be around. I would recommend that everyone stop by Locale at once to give it a shot.
