Management needs to step up. When asked to resolve issues of residents smoking, barking dogs, noise complaints. Management said that they want residents to sort these issues out that«they don’t like to get involved» … uh what? The lease we all signed says it’s a no smoking building, no smoking anywhere includes the rooftops and balconies. And the issues with noise as it pertains to residents and their dogs, well if the leasing staff Laila Pailet and Brandy Guthery don’t see pictures or didn’t hear it themselves then it never happened.

Great location and nice neighbors, but the management really lacking. The apartment itself is pretty badly constructed. I moved here from a 100-year-old house, and my electric bill over the winter was OVERDOUBLE at the Linden. The heaters in all the units were effectively only heating the unit above us. The rent was very high for what it was.

Like the other person said this is an OK building. It is cheap, drafty, and slowly falling apart. If you like new then you better get here quick before the residents destroy it. There are a lot of really good residents that are kind and considerate, but there is a population of people who will ruin everything good the building has to offer. People watch you and take pictures of you to make sure you are following the particular rules that they have concentrated on. There is a huge battle between management and the bad residents to try and stop the building from being ruined, but the only thing that happens is good people want to leave because they can’t take the arrogant residents. I would look somewhere else. They are building another apartment just to the west of this one that now blocks a hug part of the view to down town. You may have better luck there. Poor construction, expensive or no parking close, drafty, no AC, cheap electric heat that doesn’t work well, low water pressure, cold water, dogs barking, dog poop and pee all over the building, dirty, and way too expensive for all the headaches.

Overall it’s ok — no major complaints, but comes with the usual apartment issues. Pros: Building is nice; includes a community room & rooftop deck(with dog area). Between the rec room and the monthly building happy hours, its somewhat like being in a college dorm again(in the positive way) Offers rentable storage unit & parking space(s). Management has been responsive and helpful(in my experience). Good location with easy access to downtown, NE, SE – pretty much everywhere you want to go. Cons: There is NO noise barrier between floors. Strangely you can’t really hear your neighbors, but you hear every single footstep, cough, etc from the floor above you(and you have to tiptoe around so you don’t disturb your downstairs neighbor) Immediate neighborhood(within a few blocks) doesn’t offer much, and all of the ground level retail space is(as of yet) vacant. Positioned as «luxury» apartments, but have weirdly cheap elements(quality cabinets & counters, but junky appliances, and a half-sized dishwasher, for example). No AC, even though it’s a brand new building Generally its a good place to live. There’s your normal tenants — some good ones and some not-so-good ones. The place is pet friendly, which offers both pros and cons. No regrets renting here
