This place is a hidden gem for lunch and breakfast. The owners are incredibly nice. Authentic Hawaiian lunch and bfast. Highly recommended!

What do you think of when someone says, «hole in the wall»? I think of a place that isn’t necessarily pleasing to the human eye. I also think of a place that has good and affordable food. I’ve said it before. You don’t go to a place to eat the atmosphere. If you have eaten the atmosphere I would like to know what it is you are smoking. I was out on a Thursday night looking for dinner. Wandering around this part of town as it is not too far from where I live and I literally stumbled upon Lilikoi. Had no idea this place was here. Hawaiian sounded good at that moment. Also when I see the word bakery I run and do not walk. I love baked goods. Upon walking in I was immediately greeted by the woman at the counter(possibly the owner). I told her I had never been and she welcomed me warmly. I immediately noticed the sweet breads(.75 cents each for the large ones) and knew I would be taking a few of those home with me. They also had malasadas, but I didn’t get any on this trip. I asked what she suggested I eat and she said that if I was in the mood for a sandwich I should get the BBQ sandwich($ 7) which had creamy Asian slaw, carmelized onions and BBQ sauce on it. That came with a side of mac salad and some funyuns and was served in one of their sweet bread buns. I also took 4 of these buns home with me. $ 10(plus tip) out the door. I took that baby home with me and devoured it. The bbq pork was tender and flavorful and the slaw on top wasn’t a distraction. That means it didn’t have too much mayo in it. A good amount of food for $ 7. I was very satisfied when I left. No tables to eat at there, but they did have chairs. I assume they wouldn’t kick you out of you wanted to eat there. They have plastic silverware, napkins and sriracha for all of your eating needs. This place is not right on Broadway, It is just a bit north. Thankfully they have a sign that they put right on the corner of 32nd and Broadway. If that wasn’t there I never would have known it was there. I will definitely be back to sample more.

I tried the Kalua Pork bowl with the picked veggies, and a side of fried plantains. REALLY good flavors all around, and excellent pricing. I have a feeling our office will be frequenting here for lunch :)

Great food, the signature sandwich is my favorite. Lots of flavor and the homemade Hawaiian sweet bread is delicious. My husband got the Cuban sandwich and he was really impressed by it. The lumpia was also yummy, I had to sneak a bite before even leaving the bakery I wish I ordered more. The Lilikoi cake was moist and creamy with tons of flavor. Will definitely be back to try other menu items!

Just happens to see the sign on the street corner and had to stop and check out. I was greeted with plenty aloha as soon as I walked in. I had just had lunch so I just had one of the Malasadas. It was authentic and very good. Next time I’m going for the Kalua pork. I encourage you to give this place a try. You will be glad you did.

I just luckily saw this place on my way to Sweet Basil Thai Restaurant for lunch. I grabbed some haupia, Hawaiian sweet bread, Lilikoi and Guava cake for dessert to share with my friends and family. I gave it a 5-star. It was onolicious!!! I will be stopping by again real soon. Supposedly, they also make a killah Kalua pork sandwich with the sweet bread.
