La Ranita Mexican Food

Ive driven by this food truck many times, like more than I could possibly count. And each time I do, I tell myself, I gotta stop and try it. Well, today, I finally did. Holy goodness, so glad that I did!
I am a bit on the short side, so, I stood on the bench to make my presence known, ordered my two carnitas tacos to go and paid the nice lady. Tacos are $ 1.25 each with many different meats to choose from. In hardly no time at all, my order is done and it smells amazing. I couldn’t wait to get home to eat them!
Once I got home I noticed that the sauce included on the side was one of my favorites, its the thick creamy green sauce that has plenty of bite to it. The tacos were just the right size, with onions and cilantro. Now I wish I would have ordered 50 of them, they were that good. I will definitely be returning!

Delightful surprise in discovering this food truck when the restaurant we wanted to try had a 45 minute wait at 8:00 pm.
The owner was friendly and helpful, but the food is what we’ll return for. My order was simple – 3 tacos. They were out of fish and chicken, so I got asada. It was good until I added the habanero sauce. It became great, with a kick. My only error was assuming the verde sauce would be predictable verde sauce. Not so! This was a creamy avocado sauce with a smoky heat. Sadly I was down to my last taco before I discovered the sauce. Still, that didn’t keep me from dipping my fingers into the plastic container. So good, so unencountered before now.
My son had an asada torta, which he devoured. It featured steak, cheese, avocado, jalapeños and onions. Huge serving for $ 6.50.
He also got the pineapple water, which was refreshing after playing lacrosse.
We’ll definitely be back.
