Cute shop with well picked items. Nice store-keepers as well!

Okay, so I received a reply to my review below from one of the owners letting me know that the clerk I complained about below was gone and they would like me to come back and see them again. I obliged, with my boyfriend, and I’m so happy we did. First, we were acknowledged by the clerk during this visit and asked if we needed anything. That was pleasant. +1 While we checking out cutting boards, the clerk offered some really useful and interesting information about the local artist who made them and why they were special. +1, again I found a serving platter I want to get with little matching dishes that go with it. That was cool. We found a design piece for our kitchen and bought that. My boyfriend tried the salted caramel treats they have at the register along with the chocolate version and he was sold already. I had to stop him from getting those so I can suspend them for future gifts. Ha. Also, the music was GREAT. Both my boyfriend and I loved it. Fun songs we hadn’t heard in a while that we enjoyed. The clerk talked with us on any topic we brought up and was engaged and open and friendly and cultivated a completely different experience this time. We will be back and are very impressed with this change.

Cool merchandise and helpful owners! They are quick to give a locals discount, and all the Christmas gifts I bought got big thumbs up from recipients. Check out the recycled plastic satchels. Adorable and useful.

A great place to be inspired for gift giving. The collection of goods is uncommon for St. Johns but certainly welcome. Prices are a little high, but the items you find here are unique and will certainly be treasured by you or a lucky recipient. I was a little put off that on my third visit the guy manning the store was so as sources absorbed by the book he was reading that he hardly greeted us and offered no assistance. We had to rouse him to let us purchase the beautiful glass candle sticks that our friend loved as a birthday gift. Maybe it was just a really good book.

I was on my way home from the store and post office when I spied a sandwich board with the face of a bear(or pomeranian, but I’m voting for bear) with a crown over it’s head. Seriously, how do you expect me to ignore this and not go in? On Google, they advertise«make your home your castle,» which by the look of things in their store you could do rather easily. The products in the store are elegant and understated but with a definite Portland/Pacific Northwest bent, and the store is spare and beautifully decorated with all the items. Besides some really super-comfy looking furniture(had I sat on any of it today, I would have fallen asleep easily), there’s lots of candles and fragrance items and glass and pottery pieces. I found a pretty little white porcelain sugar and creamer set with twisted twigs on top, which spoke Pacific Northwest to me, and I thought them quite reasonably priced at about $ 20 for the set. I also found some pretty sheer and shimmery scarves in woodland colors for just $ 12 apiece. It’s a place you could buy something for yourself and not feel guilty, but also purchase gifts that would make your friends very happy and asking, «where did you get this.» There are items for ladies and gentleman and for younger folk. I had a nice chat with one of the owners(I think) and found him friendly and low key. It set the tone for the store and the visit. I left feeling like I had visited somewhere special. By the way, when I visited the attractive website, there was a picture of Kingdom Market’s staff. Guess who one of the store staff is? A Pomeranian! I wasn’t far off on the bear thing because I often call Pomeranians«little bears.» Why not come in and visit and see whether or not you agree with me?
