My cheese bagel and cream cheese lunch spot/meal for less than $ 5. Oh, and they have a robust assortment of hummus for a great price and daily specials you can’t beat. AND, a drive thru. Love it! #soportland

You can’t beat half off Wednesday and Saturdays when the average rate of inflation is reversed from the last 20 years and all tubs of hummus are $ 1.50. You buy the fucking rainbow of hummus flavors for eight fiddy and go back to the office telling everyone how much of a shopping wizard you are. Then you proceed to pound your face with hummus for the next week, realizing the pressure you’ve not enforce upon yourself. But it’s a good thing. You go in for breakfast and buy a burrito with hummus and a coffee for $ 3 along with a free copy of the Willamette Week, good joke or compliment from one of the friendly workers(NOTTOBECONFUSEDWITHTHEDUTCHBROSFRIENDLINESS) and a fierce cackle only a bargain hunter is capable of. But wait there’s more. It’s called a flax seed chocolate chip cookie and now you are ruined for the rest of your life. Forget ever having a flat tummy and begin living the life you’re mean to: eating King Harvest’s chocolate chip cookies laden with flax seeds. They are not healthy because they have flax seeds. They are the best chocolate chip cookies in town made by hummus people.

The place responded, issued a refund and generally acted like a class act. Worthy of a upgrade of the review. Thanks! Gotten coffee on the way to work a few times. Service has always been ok, but coffee has always been meh. Today my vanilla latte came sin vanilla. My wifes latte had a burnt flavor. Won’t be in a rush to come back.

Their coffee is organic, fair trade and always fresh. Their burritos are also a main attraction here, simple and delicious. The people serving you here are friendly and fast, and if you’re in a big hurry then you can grab your coffee and breakfast burrito from the drive through!

I love this place so much but was really bummed today when the two sweet girls who usually work there were not working. Instead, two hipster stoic girls with glasses were working and while they seemed like okay people, the vibe was just not the same! I hope the adorable smiling girls who have been toasting my bagel for the past few years are not gone! They make King Harvest feel like home!

I can’t speak for anything except their hummus, but it is the best hummus I have ever had! I am addicted. I eat about 1.5 of them a week. They have exciting and unique flavors(like chipotle, balsamic, and horseradish!) My favorite is the balsamic. They sell the 10oz containers in most Fred Meyer’s, New Seasons, and QFC’s in the Portland area, but I enjoy coming to this shop to buy mine. The service is always friendly and on Wednesdays and Saturdays the hummus is half off! Which means the hummus is only $ 1.50 while it is over $ 3 at the store. I love supporting a local, small company and it makes it even better when the hummus is seriously the best!

Here nearly every other morning for the breakfast burritos — the ladies are always on point and have great customer service! Gotta hit those half-off hummus days and make off like a bandit.

I love this place, have been going a lot since I realized how fresh and good(and inexpensive) the hummus is. some days of the week it is even half off! The Balsamic hummus and jalapeño are 2 of my favorites. I also like the breakfast burritos and lunch burritos– especially the chipotle version. It would be nice if they had more baked goods options besides packaged muffin tops and biscotti, but hey, you come here for the hummus, burritos and coffee, that’s what youre gonna get! Drip coffee here is reliably good– they use Marigold coffee, roasted in PDX.

Nice little coffee & breakfast place. It’s cheap and there’s a drive-thru for those mornings when it’s cold and you don’t wanna leave the car. The bagels are really good(I recommend the cheese bagel, they get a nice even melt on the cheese and it gets really crunchy), and the Mexican Mocha doesn’t just use leftover chai spices, but adds a little actual spicy kick.

This place is basically a hummus shop that happens to serve coffee. With that in mind, I’m giving it four stars, because most of the hummus is really good. Specifically: the chipotle, sesame, jalapeño, lemon and garlic. Also, they have really awesome two-for-one Humpday Hummus. It’s insanely cheap, so stock up. I love that this place has drive-thru coffee, because it’s nice to have a local alternative to Starbucks Drive-Thrus. Unfortunately, I’d say the coffee is only good 50% of the time. It’s not the worst coffee, but when you’re gonna spend $ 4 on a latte, you kinda want it to be enjoyable, and the shots not to be burned. And their coffee isn’t reliably enjoyable. Anyway, yeah. I’m still giving this place four stars for the hummus, because I think it’s really lame when people give low Unilocal ratings unnecessarily and screw up ratings.

I haven’t actually been to the café but I’ve gotten their hummus at Fred Meyer and oh em jiblets. This stuff is the best hummus I’ve ever had. I sent my boyfriend to get more from the F. Meyer and he came back with something else. He’s lucky I love him.

Very low key. Almost missed the store. I saw hummus advertised on the wall outside and thought to myself«I want hummus for lunch.». Although I’m thinking that I would rather go up the street to the other place. I did find that the burrito made with black bean hummus was quite tasty an the hummus in general was not bad. I really wish it was an actual hummus plate with pita and olives. So if that’s what your looking for then you’ll want someplace else.

I’ve only been in the drive-up; I know… WHAT?!? This is the same King Harvest that supplies hummus to the majority of(good) grocery stores around Portland. The breakfast burrito deal + coffee = $ 2.25…great deal. The lunch burrito deal + small drink = $ 4…great deal. Their hummus is really good, and it comes in all of their burritos. And by the way — your food IS made fresh, AFTER you order it. Nice touch, great deal.

King Harvest makes some mean hummus. Hummus. I love that word. It sounds kinda dirty but at the same time delicious. It’s simple, really. Ground up garbanzo with spices. But I simply loathe most store-bought hummus… only the fresh stuff will do. However King Harvest is the one exception to my hatred for pre-made hummus. I’ve been chowing down containers of King Harvest Balsamic Hummus for years now, and just a while back they took over the old Floyd’s spot in SE and opened up a space where you can get coffee and food. And frankly, I’m not really stoked on it. There’s nothing in the way of atmosphere, and the food doesn’t seem to be much different than what I can get from the prepared food case in the store. So while I think that the King’s hummus product rules over all other store bought, I can’t be super stoked for this location. It’s just a’ight. I think I’ll generally stick to downing pint after pint of their Balsamic hummus that I score at the store in the comfy confines of my home.

Daily Double: coffee and burrito for $ 2 I have a ten minute break from work in the morning. 10 minutes! I have learned that I can perfectly satisfy my coffee-food-10 min dilemma by going to King Harvest and getting a breakfast burrito and an 8 oz coffee for $ 2. The 8 oz coffee is great cause I can’t drink anymore than that in the time that I have! Its not amazing coffee but its definitely good. The breakfast burrito is small but just right, filled with egg, cheese and one of their tasty hummus options(I usually pick spinach). And with a packet of hot sauce, I’m good to go. Service is always with a smile(I’ve only seen two girls working there so far and both are super nice). You just can’t beat that for 2 bucks– anywhere. Also, King Harvest is pretty much the king of Portland hummus and I’m absolutely addicted to their roasted red pepper! Yum.

Best. Store-bought hummus. Ever. (I haven’t been to the café. I just needed to give a shout out for the hummus.)

This place could be so much better. When Floyds was in this spot there was always a line for the drive through. I drive by everyday and there is seldom a car waiting. I would love the easy access if the food were good, but I think that is proof that there is something really missing here. I have stopped and tried what they have about half a dozen times. Once I got an amazing muffin, which was never repeated. Even if I ordered the same thing. Once it was not done in the middle, once way too old or dry, once it tasted different and there was some weird glazey thing on top. In fact it tasted like Thai food. Why? Other bakery items are just as unpredictable and some are just bad. The burritos are okay. They are small and not enough for me. For a health food place they have a terrible selection of juice. What about a drive through smoothie, now that would be needed in this town. The employees are nice enough, but there seems to be a rather apathetic feel of the place. Just the lack of a complete menu shows this off. That and the way the quality of food varies so much. If you like hummus I guess you are set, but I don’t. The coffee is fine and it is nice that it isn’t Stumptown. Stumptown is good, but it is nice to have a selection out there.
