Kim’s Kreations Tailor & Bridal

I found the perfect traditional Chinese dress for my Chinese Tea Ceremony at Kim’s Kreations. It was a week away from the ceremony so I was worried that it wasn’t enough time to do the alternations but they were able to get the dress done in a just a few days at a reasonable price!

There are many dresses in Kim’s Kreation that I wouldn’t want to wear. Yet, I found a unique and beautiful wedding dress there and including alterations, it was around $ 300. Kim had a funny personality and it was a wild experience. I am glad that I was brave enough to go to Kim’s. Worth a try for a bargain bride or someone who wants something different. Fast too! Cash only, which is a drag.

I had a bridesmaids dress that needed to be altered (the dress was too big because I had lost weight)! It had to be finished in less than one week because I was flying to New York and needed to pack quickly. Kim’s price was very affordable! Kim took the time to see what I wanted (we went in the back of the store and she helped me with the measurements of what I needed), and she finished it in more than enough time! Kim’s Kreations is affordable, friendly, and she is a genuine and kind woman!

Been there to have her sew my Mother of the Groom outfit. I bought the material there, hoping to get that ‘Asian’ style dress, my way. I told her, I’d be putting beads myself on the dress. I brought with me, an outfit that I wanted her to copy, the same exact size, in the exact style ONLY longer. She kept it for a few days. I couldn’t believe how fast when she called me, the dress is done! Except, the chest area is too tight, my arms are suffocating! She said, for extra $$$, she could make it bigger. I was in tears, that this is my son’s wedding, my oldest son, and my dress is not fitting me right and I have to pay extra for her mistake? Why didn’t she used the ‘sample outfit’ to get the correct measurements? No matter, she got it right, a bit tight around the bust area, but at least, I can breath! Looking back @ my son’s wedding photos, you still can see the dress is too small around the bust area. :(but oh well! Everyone was admiring it! It was unique and I got the color I wanted and the beading the way I wanted it. (The wedding was great, btw, it was in Greece).
I’d give her 2 stars, but she was yelling in my ears, that’s how she normally talks, like I’m hard of hearing. Even if I saw someone wearing a hearing aid? I wouldn’t be talking to them THAT loud!
I went back, because I have an old Halloween outfit that I’ve worn every year, since the 70’s. .. I know, it’s like a blankie! I’m not into that stuff, but this one blouse/​skirt was my traditional Halloween attire, I just put on my KISS mask, black tights, black sunglasses and I’m good to answer the door! I actually scared a 3 years old, but I had to take off my mask and show my smiley face and she relaxed! It was a store-​bought made of Halloween fabric in flannel, but it’s worn out on the elbow & it’s too tight on me. .. .and after I was done describing what I want done, she started yelling in my ear again! Oh, she also stands like a foot from you when she talks, to make sure you hear every word. Now, I remember why I don’t like going back there. She did knock some sense into me, thought: ‘it’s cheaper to buy a new dress! Or buy the fabric and I’ll make it for you.“
Sure, I can do that too, I’m just lazy! I also am changing that mask, and had one made just for me! BOO!

Great alteration for cheap!
I’ve been going to this alteration place for a few years now and I’m really pleased with their work. I usually go there to get my clothes hem or altered and they have not failed me yet. I love how they hem my very expensive jeans within 1 – 2 days or even the same day if i request it. I usually ask to keep my original hem and am very happy w/​their work. They charge from $ 8-​$ 15 a pair of jean and the price varies for other alterations.
The shop has TONS of bridal dresses and bride maid dresses, basically anything you can think of for a wedding! I know a few ppl who have gone to them to request wedding/​bridal dresses to be made and was told that they were pleased w/​the work and price.
The owner are two Vietnamese ladies, who are religious Catholics that devote a lot of their earnings to the poor in Vietnam. Sometimes if i request that my jeans get done that same day, they will request that i donate $ 2 to the poor, which i don’t mind. I think its great that these two ladies not only focus on their business, but make time for those in need.
