One of my favorite restaurants in town. However their lack of incompetence is baffling. We eat here almost once a month and they have screwed up our order at least a half dozen times. The guy who works the front register might be the biggest idiot ever. They also served a group of ten their plates before us even though we order 15 minutes before them. The only good thing about this place are the cooks.

The food here is absolutely amazing, don’t get me wrong. My husband I come here all the time. Every time we come here, the service is terrible. There is always a mix up on our order, something is forgotten, or we end up waiting a really long time. I’ve never written a vile Unilocal review before, but I feel like this amount of bad service deserves one. Tonight an entire table of prom go-ers were served long before we were, and we were here 45 minutes before them. Our order was forgotten, and when we finally got it over an hour later, it wasn’t even right. It’s so obnoxious to have AWFUL service every time we visit, and it’s a shame because the food is delightful. It’s safe to say we won’t be returning any time soon.

Arrived around 6 pm, line was bit long but had menu in hand ready to order by the time I reached the cashier. I went for Alfredo since I was craving rich creamy soul food as I just spent hour and half in the cold due to east side streetcar malfunctioning with power outage. It was peak hour so it took half hour for food to arrive, but I’ve had two friends to keep me company. Pasta was chewy and texture was just perfect for my liking. Small portion was just the right amount. Next time I’ll get chili and garlic with wholewheat option. I was too full for dessert and did not feel I could eat another load of carbohydrate cake. Customer service was slow even when there was no line and everyone was seated, but we did order bread three times(it was rather addicting) so maybe that was a sign to leave? lol As students on budget price was very reasonable and there’s option to buy pasta and sauce to make at home. Be a nice spot to come back when I go make my monthly Salt & Straw round for dessert. There are seasonal menu option available as well, and atmosphere is nice for casual dates. There’s vegetarian option, though not strictly stated on menu. Customers age varied as well. We enjoyed our time and I plan on bringing more friends back.

What a cool place! At first I thought it was strange that a nice restaurant would have you order at the counter and then go find a table – like at a fast food place. However, that system is totally the way to go! Waiting for a waiter to take your order isn’t a big deal most of the time – unless he/she is really overworked and you have to wait a long time, or you’re really hungry. But I always hate to wait for the check(and then the change) when I’ve finished my meal and just want to leave. It was really cool to order, sit down, be promptly served, and leave when I wanted to leave(when I was done eating). The food was excellent, prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly and this is the only place I can remember eating in the USA where they offered a reasonably priced wine. I’ll certainly visit again.

Expensive and very mediocre food. The 3 cheese ravioli were tiny so you couldn’t taste the cheese and covered in a very watery red sauce ghat had no taste. The special risotto chicken was bland and the risotto was really best described as poorly boiled rice. Dissapointing.

Of the popular non-chain Italian venues this is my least favorite. The Three Cheese Ravioli tasted store-bought like with watery sauce. Bread was room temperature, stale and boring. Three foodies out for dinner: all were disappointed.

Fresh and Good — plain and simple — outside seating is nice. Majority of employees are nice here

This place is legit. So yummy it’s nice to find a great Italian place. The marinera is rich with just a hint of spice matched great with there wide pasta noodles. I devoured my portion within minutes and I wasn’t even hungry. Definitely will be back with the hubby

Amazingly fresh pasta and great sauces. All their sauces are amazing but the Alfredo sauce is my favorite. A must try is their whole wheat spaghetti. They also sell their pastas for 3.50 a pound and ravioli for about 9 bucks. Great food, must eat place in Portland.

This place is great. I hadn’t been back in years though I would often dream about their mushroom lasagna, so last week I returned for some comfort food and was not disappointed. I will not wait so long to return. We both had a Mushroom Gorgonzola Lasagna with Red Sauce and even though it was a huge slice($ 13), it was so good that we both finished our piece. We had a fantastic bottle of Chianti for $ 32. Lastly, we took a slice of cheesecake and a slice of German Chocolate Cake to go. Both of them were out of this world. Enjoy.

Best pasta and Italian food in town! Everything is made in house and they use all fresh and organic ingredients. Not only that but they have great service. Everyone who works there is really friendly and accommodating. If you come in often, they make the effort to know your name or get to know you. Great place.

4−½ stars is what I want to give Justa Pasta, but Unilocal only deals in whole numbers. Justa Pasta is not quite the best Italian restaurant in Portland, but is is pretty high on the scale. I’ve probably been to Justa Pasta 20 times over the years and I have never had a bad meal. In fact I never had a meal that wasn’t excellent. At Justa Pasta you don’t get fancy, «chef-inspired» Italian entries. Instead, you simply get authentic Italian food that is really, really good. And don’t even bother looking at the menu, just pick something off the big-ass blackboard on the wall. All those choices are top notch. Finally, make sure you leave room at the end for desert because Justa Pasta makes a mean cheesecake along with some other very tasty items that will cause you waist to expand. So if you want a great italian meal at a very reasonable price, you can’t go wrong at Justa Pasta.

Justa Pasta is one of my favorites. The food is always fresh and good. There were times when I would get their take out 3 – 4 times a week when I didn’t have time to cook. And the restaurant in general has a wonderful personality. Most of the folks have worked there for years. They are friendly and great at what they do.

Justa Pasta is my go to place for a great pasta dishes and more! They always have a great selection of fresh made pasta to pair with your sauces of choice. The daily chalkboard is packed with specials for the night… Salads, Entrees and daily lasagna Specials. The chicken pepper jack with Alfredo is worth the calories! Great selection of wines and wines by the glass a must for a pasta dinner. They even have an adult section and a more casual section for all others. Save room for some dessert… amazing cheesecake, coconut cake and my personal favorite the German Chocolate cake… yum!!!

Really yummy pasta! I had fettuccine Alfredo. Wish the noodles were a little shorter or the dish was served with a spoon so it was easier to eat. But the bread they give you was delicious!

Again… perfect dinners every time. My pasta dish was filled with delicious Brussel sprouts, zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms, and wonderful and abundant chicken slices. Of course all the pastas are homemade. My husband loved his goat cheese and veggie lasagne and my daughter’s butternut squash ravioli with brown butter was delicious, as always. Our first batch of bread was stale, but when they brought us more it was perfect. That is one inconsistency they have. The bread! To top off our meal, we decided to try the amazing, gorgeous, and huge apple pie. It had just come out of the oven. One of the waitresses beamed when she told us she made it. We all decided it was the best apple pie we’d ever had! And that is why I love Justa Pasta!

The name says it all, Justa Pasta. While this probably isn’t exactly the best place for a Celiac to eat, their website mentioned that«also: we have lots of gluten free options – just ask!». On the day I went for lunch, the options were pretty slim, I had two options, salad or chicken with some veggies and risotto. While I can’t fault them for their lack of GF food, as it clearly caters to pasta lovers, the chicken was somewhat bland. Overall the meal was ok, and extremely healthy. As for the gluten lovers in the group I was with, they seemed to enjoy their meal. The restaurant is very unassuming and kind of out of place. The inside was a bit small, but they did offer outside seating on nice days.

A NW neighborhood gem. Smaller venue w/a really relaxed ambiance. Justa Pasta is a perfect spot to meet friends or clients for lunch or dinner. Pastas + sauces are handmade and available for purchases which is great for a busy week! The alfredo sauce was delicious & didn’t add anything to it when I warmed up at home. They have great specials that range from unique salads to heartier pasta dishes. I order take out here probably 2 – 3 times a week for my executive team lunches & they always rave of the large portions & flavor. Cookies are AMAZEing. No really… flakes of coconut + soft/gooey + melted chocolate chips is all you need. How are the chocolate chips always melted? Mind blowing. So good.
