JUJU

Went to JuJu on 10^th and Washington for the first time. They specialize in tacos and by the time I had arrived they had already run out of beef and chicken but did have tofu. The preparation of the tofu was amazing with a crispy exterior and soft interior that reminded me of battered white fish. The slaw, tomato, cheese and onion garnish made for some of the best tacos I’ve ever had!

Omg I never really order hotdogs when I’m out trying to find something to eat but damn this place has something special bout the ones they make. Could be the spicy veggies and ketchup that mix in quite well! Yummm!

The cart itself is really clean on the inside and the food handling is sanitary. The food is amazing! Sizing is perfect, not too big not too small. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and its delicious.

These gals at JuJu are so hospitable and friendly, my attention was grabbed as I was walking carrying lunch that I just grabbed from another cart. One of girls stuck her head out the window and with with a big smile she said, would you like a free taco? Who doesn’t want something for free? Especially a taco. As she was preparing the taco I stood and talked to the girls and looked over the menu. These girls were nothing but huge smiles, you can tell that they enjoy interacting with people and making people happy. I snapped a few photos of the girls and of the menu and of course of my taco. I mean a Unilocal review is the least I could do, they told me they don’t have a Unilocal page yet, so I get to be the one who puts them on the map. As I walked away I figured out a way to hold the lunch I had already grabbed and put it underneath while balancing my taco on the top. I took a bite and thought wow that’s pretty damn good, they use a slaw style for the veggie. It’s gives it a nice creaminess, the chicken had a nice char, everything went together well. When I go back to my office and opened up the lunch I paid for I was really excited about eating it because I had already eaten something delicious. My lunch was ok but not as good as what I had sampled from the girls at JuJu. I was actually disappointed in my lunch selection after eating a few bites and wish I had chose a different, but if I did there wouldn’t have been the smiling face greeting me as walked past these girl’s cart. Probably because I wouldn’t have ever made it to that side of the block. I will be back and will become a regular for sure, I eat from the carts on this block 2 – 3 times a week and this cart is on my rotation.
